Oilers Draft Facts:
- Nationality: 3 Canadians, 2 Russians, 1 Swede and 1 American. This is only the 2nd time we've drafted two Russians in the top 100. Yakupov was also only the 2nd Russian ever drafted in the first round by the Oilers.
- Positions: 3 LW, 2 RW, 2 D. As per the long-term trend, the Oilers mostly draft forwards in the first 2-3 rounds and fill in Dmen later.
-Rankings: We got three players from Bob Mckenzie's top 60 with our first 4 picks. In particular, Zharkov had the best value of CSS final ranking-to pick.
