Yeh if the cap goes up another $5 million

It's said he may go to the Wild, they are making a huge offer July 1st to him
Per Lou Nanne who knows there owner.

One he will have trouble turning down so they say

- puckhead17

Parise has also stated that he likes the current area which he plays in. He could take less money and play in Philly than Minnesota knowing his chances of winning a cup are greater.

Dont the Flyers have 11M in cap space plus they can go over by 10% which is another 7M. Thats 18M available. Plenty of cash.

Just what I've heard. As the wild will be looking to make a splash, they have a lot of $$$$ to spend

So I haven't read every page, but where are the guys who wanted a right handed shot on defense? You have what you wanted.

And Morganti was saying the other day he believes Parise will be a Flyer. Who knows how.

Wild can have all the cash they want Parise still has to want to go there and play. Anything can happen. I can see the Flyers going after Parise. I also like P.A. Parenteau (not as high profiled).

Thats cause he doesn't believe they are committed to winning. He and Weber want to make sure that the organization is strapped to keep adding pieces even if those guys sign big deals. Flyers are nothing like Nashville when it comes to spending for players and close to the cap every single year. The Flyers have the means to do it.

They have enough space to sign parise But I read somewhere that if he didn't resign he wouldn't sign with a team from the division

I only read an article that Parise said he likes the area where he currently plays. So my thought is Philly, NYR, Pitts, etc. That would actually mean the division but im sure he will explore every option.

Will find out in 8 days.

Would Mez and a 1st get Bobby Ryan?

Re-sign Carle, Voracek, and Sestito

Find a bottom pairing DMan in FA.

Thoughts?

The Wild have a good team and are improving. The West has a lot of good teams that are currently better than the Wild so winning a cup may not happen going there. Parise coming to Philly could make them the favorites out of the East. He could have a serious chance of winning a cup coming here. Money will be an issue but is it the deciding factor for Parise? 8 days and will have an answer.

Parise might be the the first UFA in years where nobody has any idea where his heads at. Does he want money? Does he want to go home? Does he want a Cup? I get the feeling he'll become a Red Wing with Suter but then the Red Wings we'll have to dispose of their high priced talent like Franzen. Which the Flyers might focus on that situation. At the same time, Parise would look pretty good in a Flyer uniform.

I generally like JVR, but one thing I won't miss is his play in his own end.
