?
Does this mean we're now out?
Fuk i wanted this deal.
Yandle would change the look of our defence immediately. Hes a great player

- hugefemale dog77

The asking price was probably Eberle or Hall though. Too high. Although I'd be open to trading hall for someone a little better than Yandle.

Leafs trade Schenn to Philly for JVR.

Schenn now overrated. JVR now Neely 2.0

- TheTaoOfSemenko

I think Philly overpaid.

Maybe the Oilers decided adding two defensive prospects that won't help us for 3-4 years to the other 12 defensive prospects that they already have in the system is enough. they addressed a need with going for size and grit on forward to add to the talented forward prospects we already have. Moroz a reach yes but if they figured he wouldn't be around the next round and he is the one they wanted after Sameulsson. Maybe watch some junior hockey or give these KIDS a chance before you write off the draft. I for one believe day one is Manegement picks day two is Stu's. I like their thinking actually.
- longbottom

12 defensive prospects? The Oilers only have 6 or so that are even worth mentioning and that they will be hanging on to. Funny thing is, they actually did add two defensive prospects today, so they didn't "decide adding two defensive prospects that won't help us for 3-4 years to the other 12 defensive prospects that they already have in the system is enough" like you just said. But of course, Moroz is going to be able to step right onto the Oilers roster and make a difference, is that what you're saying? You're kidding yourself if you think he isn't at least 3-4 years away from making the NHL as well.

All I suggested was that the Oilers should have taken a guy like Matt Finn who was projected to go in the first round rather than go somewhat off the board to take Moroz. And I went to almost 20 Oil Kings this year, so I think I have "watched some junior hockey".

You're knowledge of all things Oil Kings pails in comparision to that of LB.

I think the Flames wanted Faksa and once he was gone, may as well swing for the fences. Jankowski is either a home run on a foot note at the draft. I was kind of hoping for Stefan Matteau so he could beat up on the oilers for the next decade.

Did you see Feaster's interview right after they drafted him? He said that Jankowski was the guy they wanted all along, and that he is the best player in the draft.

Wow.. You are calling Matt Finn and Dalton Thrower "inferior" prospects to Mitchell Moroz? Wow.. You really are stupid.

I never said he would have been there for sure. But seeing as he was ranked 72nd among NA skaters alone, it isn't unreasonable to think he would have been there at 61.

Also, learn to take a joke FFS.

- dallas717

No actually, I'm not. I'm suggesting that like me you haven't a clue how various scouts rank these players.

You're an Internet expert that reads media opinions and a bunch of lists, takes them for gospel, then when the Oilers select a player that doesn't jive with the lists you have a stroke.

It's obvious to most the Oilers had certain players ranked differently than you and your lists. I'm certain Stu has better credentials than you so your opinion doesn't count for poop.

Tambellini felt they got the guys they wanted and they wouldn't be there a round later. Again I'm sure with your infinite connections youre better able to judge these things. NOT!

As for your sense of humor this is a public forum and I don't find you funny at all. Your derogatory statements add nothing to a hockey discussion and are really just a window into your mind which is obviously weak as you seem unable to express yourself as a mature adult.

Better question...

Who's dumber?

1) Jay Feaster

or

2) Brian Burke

2 cup winning GMs, they may be brash and say some outlandish things but I would hardly say they were dumb.

Did I ever ONCE say that that my opinion mattered more than Stu's? No, I did not. So quit making poop up to justify you attacking my opinion. Because that is all I did; state my opinion. Which I am allowed to have. You're allowed to disagree with it, just do so without flipping out and trying to attack my character and continually insult me like you just did. I stated my OPINION on the draft selection and now you're attacking me for it. So, tell me, who is the real child here?

And Burke said he would have taken Morgan Rielly first. What else are you going to say ... all the guys we liked better were already gone ?

I'm just saying it sounds like he really is the guy they wanted all along. I didn't hear Burke calling Rielly the best player in the draft.

Burke said they had him ranked first and would have taken him there. I have no doubt the Flames wanted Jankowski but I doubt they'd have gone past Faksa if he was still there. As soon as Dallas took Faksa, Feaster traded down while he was on the clock.
