Dansk, Finn, Collberg, Thrower, Bystrom, Kerdiles, Nieves? Columbus can't really go wrong.

That sounds about right.

Which leaves us with Paterson and Whitney to choose from in the goalie department.

Those female doging about the pick should just turn in their leaf's badge.... hell may as well make it the NHL. The reasoning is so moronic, it's embarrassing. The Leafs shouldn't have taken the BPA because they should have taken lesser forwards. . In a couple years if Rielly is like Letang and KArlsson these same braindead morons will be stroking themselves at the thought of him being a Leaf. An elite scoring Dman is >>>>>> a 3rd liner or even a 2nd liner.

It is not that I think that it is a bad pick. I am sure he is quite an impact player.

What I am sick of is the Leafs just doing nothing to noticeably iimprove themselves. I saw a lot of teams making a lot of good picks to address their needs and strengthen themselves... but not Toronto.

Oh well, hopefully this means next year is "skate for nate", or "no winnin for McKinnon"

Burke looks to me like he has lost the swagger and any sort of passion for what he is doing. You no longer get the feeling he will make anything happen.

Didnt know the season started tomorrow.

Not like theres free agency or all summer to make trades or anything

I haven't read thru the thread but I don't see why anyone would be upset? Whether he was the next BPA is debatable, regardless...he was highly ranked. Another good young prospect for a team that should be rebuilding.

Nor do I, but apparently they should have taken someone with less potential to fill a need. That is beyond Moronic.

Burke and his scouts are just as excited about what will happen with the 35th overall pick on Saturday morning for Rounds 2-7.

“At that point, you are looking at a possible goalie, or a power forward,” Burke said. “But we’ll go off the list and do a positional pick.”

Burke is picking a C at 35?

He plays the game with a brilliant mind and then with his blend of high end skill and desire, he becomes a player capable of dominating.

If you take the AVG of MAckenzie, Button, THN, ISS, CSB you get just over 5, right where he was picked.

+ Best skater in the draft, we basically just drafted a better Gardiner. Burkes an idiot for wanting two of him We easily could of got a capable 3rd line center instead. No hate towards Faksa, but damn, I had Reilly pegged for the Islanders at 4.

Burke even said (those not believing his #1 view of him) "we draft the BPA, but this season we may go for positional need" what that translates into is Reilly #1 Galchenyuk #2, and if Galy was available he would take the centerman. Pretty simple.

I believe rielly was a decent and more safer choice to pick. He probably will be a good two way player both good offensively and defensively surely.

I wonder where he would have gone if didn't tear his ACL and avg a PPG for a defenseman for a whole season in the WHL?

considering his combine results and skating prowess, and Yakupov's injury. Not out of the realm of possibility he goes first. Especially with Edmonton's needs on Defense.
