Once again, the Canucks will be taking back salary in order for this to work.

There is next to 0 market for Luongo. Slowly, but surely all of those teams that Canucks fans thought could be viable trading partners for Luongo are disappearing:

- TB = Lindback
- CLB = Bobrovsky
- NYI = Is not taking on Luongo while DiPietro is still on the books
- FLA = Content with tandem that won division? Best G prospect, Markstrom
- CHI = Haven't given up on Crawford. Gillis loathes to deal Luongo there
- WIN = Waiting on Pavelec situation

Oh, and Thomas appears to be back on the market today!

Isn't Dreger going on about Florida being in on him now?

Agreed. I really think grigorenko was the steal in the draft for buffalo, though forsberg i thought for sure burke was going to take.... shocked me but there has to be a reason why both grigorenko and forsberg went 11th and 12th and the other teams after the leafs didnt take them which was puzzling as well oh well the scouts know better than us apparently, cant wait to see how all of this pans out and whos the better prospect when we had the chance to acquire forsberg or grigorenko this draft.
- Mapleleafs_91

I think the scouts get too personally involved and they can really taint a players development.. once in an organization.. meanwhile those players that have everyone backing them.. tend to do better.. because they are allowed to fail in primetime.. and then pick themselves up.

Do you really think Schenn would still be on the Leafs if he was a 4th rounder..?

Love what Washington did and Buffalo and Tampa may have huge upsides from their first round this year also.

AND Carolina. Ugly trade for leaf fans.

Forsberg is a tough decision to make in my opinion, but grigorenko... iunno could be a really good player. Had a good season in the Q league, if he gets better, we look like the idiots taking rielly
- Mapleleafs_91

Rielly will be remarkable. Too many questions surrounding Grigorenko and Faksa.

He's done more good for this team than any GM since God knows when.

He'll be gone before the end of the upcoming season, the Kessel trade his legacy as Leaf GM.

Questions?

Gal played two games and went 3rd..

Reilly had his ACL rebuilt and they believed him..

Grigorenko had mono and they didn't...

Those are the facts.

Kessel got 82 points on a lottery pick team, without a 1C. Your point?

Rielly came back from his ACL and was on a PPG pace. Played in the post season as well and was remarkable.
