Agreed , maybe now that Howson's acquired a goalie(wich I still think it's less then what Yzerman had to trade for Lindback) I wouldnt be surprised if a Nash deal goes down this afternoon.

That being said , I think Howson was waiting for something like this.

I'll try one more time...

Nash for Vanek, Sekera, Adam and 12th overall and a 2nd rounder?

Every NHL analyst says Kadri is going to be a great NHL player?
- hankthetank

and those sweet facts are that he is a good player in the AHL!!!! but in the NHL he is like a .25 ppg player I think.

kadri a 2% chance at being a top liner
- DarcyTucker16

ANd where exactly did you come up with this scientific number? Give me a break. Handicapping it at all is a fools proposition, but id but it at half. Like everything else in life, he either does or he doesnt.

no but they say a solid 2nd liner with the ability to be a pest... something thats actually valueable... not a 42 year old with a 5.5 mill cap hit

Anyone who thinks Kadri is a bust at 21 should just stop reading and talking about hockey. I could sit here and name you literaly a hundred and fifty players who became above average NHL regulars who did not become a regular in the first three years after being drafted.

You people are insane, and I guess little things like facts and history and the opinion of every nhl analyst arent gonna change your mind, but you should at least keep it to yourself.

Kadri will be a great AHL player, but he doesn't have what it takes to make the transition to the NHL.

Officially rolling the dice on Bryz without a net... fair warning to Philly media... be nice to Bryz or we WILL blame you if he asks for a trade.

Biron would be a good pickup as a backup and could probably nail another goalie prospect with that 2nd rounder. All in all a decent deal considering Bob hasn't proven himself a number 1 yet.

Unfortunatly I don't see him being the answer in Columbus until they fix their Defense.

What's the point of keeping them? Gearing up for a lengthy playoff run this coming season?
- hankthetank

Just living the dream man, living the dream...I would expect if the Flames are out of the playoffs come trade deadline that Kipper will be gone. Either way, I think the Flames could be decent next year....seriously

Curious to know. If TT is the Habs guy then why was Galchenyuk invited by management into the city for 2 days. Brought him to the practice facility, the Bell Center, around the city, etc....

Seems a little odd to do that if he's not their guy.

Bobrovsky for 3 picks? With a second rounder being the highest?

Man, I still can't believe Poile got 2 second rounders for Lindback!

- wings-suck

Lindback is a way better Goalie than BOB is. Whos also been seasoned in the NHL. BOB came in did decent for a little bit then reality set in.

That is quite possible but I just don;t buy these rumours.
Timmins said they have 8 players who they think can go #1 overall so according to him their is no clear #1 guy. so I am sure TT may be one of those 8 but it's not the type of move they have ever made.

I just don;t buy it personally. Guess we''ll see in 6 hours

Now that's overkill ,if Howson would refuse that he should be removed for mental unstableness.

Franson not Gardiner

Kadri will never amount to anything in the NHL

- Oilhab

Gardiner was included in the Nash trade, Franson int he Lou trade..

Glad you can predict the future of Kadri... Please enlighten me to the winning powerball numbers this week if you would be so kind.

HOnestly, how many times have you seen the kid play? How many of those were live? This kid is very dedicated, doesnt give up, and hes a pesky player on top of having hands that are elite. He can probably make it in the NHL as a shoot out specialist, at the very least. Im not prediciting he will be amazing or whatever, and he could be a bust but I doubt it, all im saying is that I know for a fact that you have no idea whether or not he "has what it takes" .

after 3 years of "putting on size" he still can't adjust to the NHL?

and it looks he has played 50 games.

Isn't 30 games the mark to determine a players greatness in Toronto?

Bozak was labeled a first line center after 30 good games,

Reimer and the Monster were labeled Saviors after 20ish good games.

Why can't Kadri be a bust after 50 bad games?

Every team needs to waste a roster spot on one of those...
