Alight I'm all for hot young college chicks but this post was kinda creepy.

Wait until you send your kids off to college...It'll be an epiphany.

Thank god I don't have kids.
- EKolb13

Hey, maybe one day, eh? If not, that's OK too.

Kids are fun, a challenge and pretty much the biggest reason why I got up to go to work for over a quarter-century now. It's all good.

From Spector's Hockey:

Various sources tonight report the Pittsburgh Penguins have traded defenseman Zbynek Michalek to the Phoenix Coyotes in exchange for goaltender Marc Cheverie, prospect Harrison Ruopp and a third round pick in this year’s entry draft.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: Michalek returns to the Coyotes, where he began his NHL career and had his best seasons. He signed with the Penguins two years ago as an unrestricted free agent but failed to pan out with them. He has three more seasons at $4 million per remaining on his contract. Michalek’s return will only stoke speculation the Coyotes are shopping Keith Yandle for a scoring forward.

As for the Penguins, they’re obviously dumping salary in anticipation of a significant acquisition. Some pundits have linked them to New Jersey Devils winger Zach Parise if he hits the open market on July 1, but it’s rumored they’re also chasing Nashville Predators blueliner Ryan Suter, who’s also eligible for UFA status on July 1. Having dealt away Jordan Staal during the first round of the entry draft, it’s clear Penguins management will be aggressively pursuing other deals to bolster their lineup.

It looks like Pittsburgh is gearing up to go after a big named free agent.

I've got nephews. I think kids are cool, but I'm not one for raising up my own litter of critters. Neither is my wife.

Ricardo...i OWE YOU a phone call homey.....does this mean Kaner may be trade bait if we have a clone in the fold ?
- philco28

You know, I don't think Kane is going anywhere. Rocky may have made him scrub the seats at the UC as penance for his stupidity in Madison, but they won't just dump him.

Lets see what happens over the next 2 weeks and then we can have a beer to discuss it.

The Finn might be great...who knows ? Guess i'm jaded by the Mike Smith era. Smitty had some hits...but his misses were pretty odorous.

The only bad Finn I remember Mike Smith bringing in was Coach "Dog Food" Suhonen. I think the bad foreign players Mike Smith brought in were Russians.

ESPN ranked 5

Teuvo Teravainen
Shoots: Left
Position: LW
Team: Jokerit (FIN-Jr.) Height: 5-11
Weight: 165 pounds

Teravainen has magical hands and the vision to go along with his vast puck skills. Played some center, and I feel that is a better position for this playmaking forward. He gets knocked down due to lack of strength, but his skills are too exciting to pass up. His overall intensity and determination will improve when he becomes stronger over time.

Probably...didn't we lose in both '71 and '73 ? I HATE LOSING CUP FINALS. '92 left me with an irreparable hernia and i was only 24.

Alpo was one and one....Mike Smith wasn't far behind...Karpotsev, Mironov and the absence of a comb spelled Smitty's fate.
