Pencil the kid in for the 2015-16 season. He doesn't turn 18 until September. If he has as much talent as some scouts think, he will jump ahead of a few highly rated Hawk prospects before then.

Hawks could have a star on their hands or he may never play an NHL game. But TT likely was the best hockey player available to Bowman at #18. Lots of time left to draft Clydesdales and big, dumb wannabees in the later rounds.

Even though younger, as a Euro players at least he can play in the AHL sooner.

Maybe too a keyboard that has an active shift-key and perhaps the use of a period (.) now and then, eh?

Personally I feel like a dumb@$$ when I mis-spell $hit. Like those, "seven years of college .... wasted".

+1. Tough to turn down potential 1st line talent; Hawks don't have much of that in the system. It'd be interesting to see how this year's goalie (outside of Vasiliev) crop stacks up against the three youngest Hawks prospects (Simpson, Carruth, and Mattson).
- grinder10

I'm glad Bowman didn't take a goalie in the first round. Tampa takes the Russian kid a week after trading to get Lindmark - what for?

Too bad goalies can't go in a separate draft when they are 21 years old. Too tough to predict what they will be until they mature physically.

You couldn't even spell grammatical correctly.

Do you think anyone takes you seriously? How can anyone take you seriously when you don't even take the time to at least spell the words you post correctly.

Come on now, my 9 year old nephew can spell and construct sentences much better than this. Dude, you might want to invest in a dictionary.

For all the bashing I've read from so many of you while playing catchup on this blog, what are/were you expecting with this pick? Is Tom Wilson or Vasilevski, or any other mid first round picks going to start for their NHL team next year, or the year after? Most likely not!

I heard Bob McKenzie say TT has better hands than Yakupov and has top 3 elite talent! Thats a pretty good endorsement. So he's 165 and barely 18...Any of you guys remember what kind of weight you carried when you were that age? Surely a lot less than now...

Perhaps the Hawks got lucky again with this kid falling as far as he did to us. Key is, only time will tell but it seems like a very solid pick IMO. Now, if Stan would have pulled a complete off the chart pick like Calgary or St. Louis pulled, then I'd be pissed as well. But geez guys, show a little patience and slow down the whining! And no, I don't work for the Hawks!
