See ya, Bolland. - John Jaeckel

I was convinced with Vasilevski after JJ mentioned him and I did some research. The 'Hawks system isn't exactly flooded with goalie prospects. Look at TB's approach. They just got Lindback from NSH, now draft a guy whom JJ thinks is pretty good. Hmmm... - blackhawk24

Vasilevski would have better filled a need.
Teravainen the starting 2C in 2 to 3 years? What do they do until then? - StLBravesFan
Vasilevski is also 2 to 3 years away. As are 98% of the players selected in the draft. |

and isnt Teravainen listed as a LW? |

Player: Teuvo Teravainen
Position/2011-12 Team: LW / Jokerit
Notes: One of the best skilled forwards in the draft, but physically immature. - Bob McKenzie
For sure, He will have to add some weight ! |

JJ- Do you see the Hawks being active tomorrow with trades or do you think they'll wait for free agency (OR not at all... grr...)? |

Hopefully they can nab Subban or Dansk in round two. If one of those two fall its better for the Hakws. |

Probably right and those holes we have now may not be wholes in 2-3 years. Gotta go best available player. End of story. |

Bowman could've drafted the second coming of Sydney Crosby and 75% of the board would complain about it. - UnnamedSource
Hey..i hope the kid pans out...but why does our GM love small Euros ? If Tom Wilson had still been on the board and Stan passed on him...i'd be coming over the counter.

Sorry, I was sold on JJ's logic to get the Russian goalie. |

Right Gigenson Hertl and Wilson went so you take a top 10 talent and possibly the third best talented forward on the draft. |

Geeting Bobby Ryan off the table would likely open up more trade opportunities...
Doesn't seem like Nash will happen until then... |

Really don't know much about him. Was happy for a second when I saw we got a guy who slid from the top 10 until he got up and started hugging people and he was half a foot shorter than everyone including the women.

He's a wing, saw him listed as a C, RW.
I like the pick, kid has elite talent. They can draft all kinds of bruisers later. |
