But you also gotta remember that it frees up cap space (hammer's 3.5M compared to Smith's 700k) that you can spend to go out and get a 2C, no matter how you have to do it. It's like killing two birds with one stone getting a special teamer and space to grab someone else.

On TSN's website in a video Dreger says Bowman is up to something...a lot of that goin around..I guess it means he is really going to go after someone and not just the Bruno's and OD's of the world...he even mentioned Suter,that is the only person other than JJ that has mentioned Suter and the Hawks

I should have been clearer with what I was asking in respect to Stallberg. I wasn't taking away from the fact that I know Al and JJ broke the news first, (which- as with all reported here- I am grateful for!!!) I was only asking if there was an update since it's gaining traction.

To be clear I have been on the same train for awhile...Hammer, Suter...Stalberg etc...

I heard Bolland was on the block but that was before Q. and the Habs job etc....

The Hawks will try to make a splash and I still think there is better than a 50% chance something significant will come down.

That doesn't necessarily mean Suter or Parise but something most would be happy with..

And it doesn't necessarily have to happen this weekend...
