EVen so, I was mostly trying to emphasis what would be involved, which was a Nhl player (schenn, barely as of late) and a prospect (kadri, who's still young). Not to mention if Nash is gunna be worth that plus more, I'd think Ryan would be more. And there goes Pearson.

Don't believe it... they were asking for a 1st rounder plus two other players for Nash.. Ryan is younger...

People bash Burke for not taking a forward, but what? 8 other teams passed on Grigs and Forsberg? Reilly was the best defenseman available.

It was a solid pickup, and just makes it easier to deal Gunner/Franson/Schenn

I totally agree.. the best player for the need at your number one pick.. especially when they are available within 5 picks.. Burke shouldn't be trusting his scouts.. they are all failures so far.

People are tripping...Leafs got a blue chip PMD prospect in a year of D picks. This guy could be our Karlsson. I'll take it and run.

Forsberg will be good, but 12 to 14 teams passed on him for a reason. To bash Toronto for something close to half the league did is nuts
