I am wearing two fur coats, I drive a big 4x4 that leaks gas all over the floor, it has an air conditioning leak.. but I just refill the freon every day to worsen the affects of Global Warming.. and I give my chinese neighbour cats as gifts...

Wow that was knee slapping hilarious. Keep the mediocre jokes and brain dead arguments coming.

Burke drafted a D man 5th overall.

Burke lost his son a few years ago.

Therefore, Burke picked a D man because he is still a grieving father.

You cracked the case! FIRE BURKE! He is emotionally unstable! You're a joke.

Boyd came and bought some stuff from my shop a couple years ago and the whole time I wanted to ask him to come to the back room so I could murder him

Also I'm not crazy, really, I swear

Ugh,

I just, I just....really wanted both Schenns on the Leafs.

Life is not fair.

I should pop in my favourite simple plan album and give Kids Help Phone a shout

Yes professional scouts make mistakes. But I will still take their opinion over yours.

And also, the description you just made could be attributed to Karlsson in his draft year, so I guess your opinion should be taken with a grain of salt.

(And no, I am not saying Reilly is the next Karlsson)

Also he had the nuts to rip leafs management for not renewing his contract after scoring that hat trick. No word of a lie. He also showed me a nasty scar from an injury that ended his career from playing in switzerland the next year

No way burke picks him ahead of Gal and Yak. MAYBE 1st for defense, but even Reinhart would be hard to choose. DAMN YOU LIGHTNING BY THE WAY.

Burke took the best player available in his opinion as well as his scouting staff. The kid is most likely going to be in the NHL for a couple years. Not many in this draft are expected to be NHL ready.

The kid he picked is a hard worker and a fighter. I get this opinion not from anyone else but how he fought to get back from his injury. He also speaks of the team and does has stated that he does not expect going high in the draft as being his accomplishment. The only person I have heard interview like this is Galchenyuk. Kids these days think of the draft as entitlement, because of all the media coverage, these two kids seem to have a level approach to it. We need that in this city with all the media coverage.

I don't know these players that well. I do not watch them day in and day out, but from what I have seen they have the right attitude.

- stevecarpetman

I gotta admit, Galchenyuk was really growing on me. I don't know too much about his game, but I loved the way he came off in interviews.

I couldn't put my finger on it, but something about his attitude just stuck out to me. Very confident, but humble.

You are adding your own thoughts there.. those are yours not mine.

I made the suggestion that his deteriorating ability as a manager could be logically deduced and that maybe he needs time off. My sister died at a young age.. I know how that could affect a person.

Did any of you guy read that trade wars deal from Travis Yost where the leafs give up Kadri, Schenn and a 1st, or something along those lines, for Jack Campbell AND Ribeiro?

Is there any Leafs trade proposal that doesn't start with "Schenn, Kadri, and a 1st for..."?
