Reilly is a great pick man him and gards together trade some d assets for a number 1c
- LEAFSfan28191

I think it was a fine pick.. Addressed another need, maybe not #1, but allows us to address other needs with the depth on D now.

Gardiner - Schenn
Reilly - Schultz
Blacker - Franson
Holzer

I think that answers the question.

No hate intended here, but that's terrifying. Believe me when I say that I really hope these guys all can reach their highest potential but that d core looks to have a lot of holes IMO

I have a feeling we wont see Schenn by september

Let's hope you are wrong, and it is Phaneuf that will be dealt (to Anaheim with Connolly for Getzlaf?)

I knew Yakupov. That's it and that's all. The whistles go WOOOO
- weirdoh

I figured Yakupov would go first, as well, and Galchenyuk was growing on me.

Living in Edmonton, I hear a lot about Reinhart, but I can't say how he compares to any other d-men, because I know nothing about the other d-men in the draft.

As I listen to the draft, I'm hearing some of these names for literally the first time.

It's one thing to have depth on defense, but nobody wants anyone except Gardiner

Its sheer numbers that give us the best chance...

Also remember: Percy, Blacker, Franson, Gunnarson

That gives us a lot of hope to round out our defence.

OK, finally got the kids set up with a movie, and sitting down to the TV / really, really old laptop (so I apologize for the typos in advance - especially for the faulty space bar).

I'm not going to bother reading previous pages, because I don't respect any of your opinions, but let me ask:

How do we feel about this new kid?

Did we Rielly take a defenceman?

Rielly?

Agree.

All I hope for now is that if Forsberg, Grigorenko, and Faksa slip, Burke trades for a pick to grab one of them.

The lower you go, the better the team you are going to.

But why do you want a guy who is falling like a stone?

The professional scouting staffs of 9 organizations have passed on him. Maybe that's an indication that the ISS rankings were flawed...

- Leeman4Gilmour
