dude...common....we were in the playoff hunt for 75% of the year and needed only like .500 hockey to squeeze in and ended up with like the worst record in history to drop to last place essentially...this team is good enough to battle for the 8th spot, but feel like without any upgrades, they miss out again. 9th/10th place finish is a wasted year.

this is what I forsee for next year without upgrades, staring in net.

I look at the rosters of the teams in the East. OK, we may be better than Montreal, but that isn't a given. The Islanders are next, but I don't see them getting worse, but better. Looking above us, who is falling from above us? All the playoff teams are solid. Buffalo will be better, with a full year of Cody Hodgson and less injuries. Carolina have Ward, Staal, Skinner and are all better than what we have at each position. Tampa is loaded with prospects and upgraded in goal. They are one year away from the Eastern Final. So where does Luongo take us, in the push for a playoff spot?

Nah, if Burke can land Luongo, a legit starting goalie in the league, for a fair price given his contract...he wont because that will stop us from finishing 12th...playoffs are pointless if you cant win the cup.

See Tampa Bay, the year they drafted Stamkos! Traded Richards and Boyle at the deadline, shut down Lecavalier the last 3 weeks of the season. Gave St. Louis and other veterans, 4th line minutes............right.....they don't tank....unless your name is Burke!
