Newsflash for you.......... When Karlsson got drafted, nobody saw him for what he is now. That is why he wasn't drafted in the top 15
- faceto27

Karlsson's mom did.

Hard to predict some of the Euro's, but the North American's are little easier to guage, since people in North America, see them growing up from small children.

Ive always figured it will be something around Komisarek, Kadri and a mid-late pick. Thats what I think it could be...which I wouldnt be too upset with.
- noename09

I've always hoped/prayed it would be Komi, D'Amigo and a 3rd.

Not saying that would get it done.

Just saying that's what I'd be willing to live with.

I hope the Luongo deal isn't conditional on the Leafs taking the green men.

I'm guessing Luke Schenn will be a Duck when all is said and done

It's time management ended that act.

Can you imagine if you paid top dollar for a 2nd row seat, and the entire game you had to stare at some guy's green junk in your face?

money in a trade isnt a cap hit that burdens the team

and how can you even hint at the idea that burke wouldnt just go "meh" only 20 million.. he cant do that..

every penny is counted and taken into consideration.. you dont run a successful buiness otherwise

- Dozzer

The contract is a non-issue. Lu has a very fair cap hit for an elite goalie. The length is circumvention to salary cap by lowering the hit. He's not going to play until 42 for the last $1m of a $60m deal.

The real issue is whether or not you believe in Lu's skill and think he is what your team needs. The playoff revenues he'll bring in will offset his monetary cost.

I don't think he'll be given away; but no matter the price, he'll be the best player in the deal and he'll improve your team. So it's just a matter of what you think is better: making the playoffs or continuing with the halfhearted rebuild.

Can you imagine if UG was here right now? The entertainment would be endless! Hockey Buzz would double the number of hits, with "the show" being on!

Jeff Finger disagrees.

And it isn't $20 million, it's $7 million over 4 years.

I agree and I don't see these players going alone if the Leafs make this deal. Personally, I don't want to see Loungo on the Leafs, because by the time the Leafs are ready to actually make a playoff push, he'll be on the downside of his career.
- PrinceLH

oh thank bloody hell someone sees it the way i do

and no.. i dont think he guarantees us the playoffs.. and even if he did.. i wouldnt say he was worth it just to get them post season experience

This doesn't help the Canucks at all, so I'd say that probably a no. Bobrovsky just got a better package than that and he can't stop the puck.

Agree... But do people really think we can get Lou for a bag of pucks and Komi ?

Or are they just hoping

- The_Vark

thats whats driving me nuts.. people seem to think we can dump all our crap on the nucks and get an all star goalie back

cause he's signed for ten years.. well apparantley thats not a problem.. cause we can just dump in the minors

guess what... so can the nucks

A 2nd round pick plus some lower picks is better than Kadri?

Well then that's the issue. If you don't think Lu is good enough, then he's not worth acquiring. The contract is a secondary concern at that point.
