Burke needs to produce after years of talk and deals have not improved the bottom line and the team still has not even made the playoffs, let alone contended. There is organizational depth. Toronto has gone from being a mediocre team with poor depth to a mediocre team with good depth. Where is the skill? He improved size and defense. However, his best acquisition on defense was an afterthought while his big moves--Komiserek and Beauchimin were disastors. However, this team has lacked a skilled center and stability at goaltending since he got to Toronto. Any talk of getting Nash and Ryan is plain silly without a center. Toronto currently has only third and fourth line centers. Kessell is that rare winger who just plays by himself. If it weren't for him there would be no offense at all. Luongo is an upgrade at goalie, but if he can't handle the heat in Vancouver, it could be interesting for him in Toronto. Burke has inexplicably never had a solid plan in goal. If Burke doesn't pull a few rabbits out of the hat this year, it is time for Toronto to move on.

Lupul and Gardiner for a UFA who played 18 months for the Blue and White... that's a disaster.

Good, because our PK sucks, so we can't keep taking stupid penalties.

Ya we know.
His FA signings have been absolutely horrible and have set this team back. His trades have been good but haven't changed the outcome fo the teams results.

So with that said.....we'll take Stas off your hands

- Fakepartofme

How has his UFA moves set the team back.
Connolly - Kadri probably wasn't ready, only a two year deal while improving team depth and not rushing kids, not that much of a horrible signing.
Komi - hasn't played that much and he doesn't lose games single handily, who was supposed to play 18mins a night instead of Komi - Finger?
Beau = Lupul and Gardiner - enough said.

The fact we got Lupul and Gardiner for free makes all of Burkes little errors a mute point.
BTW - we'll probably get Schultz because of Gardiner aswell.

Oh yeah.

Tried watching that lately?

Not going to lie to you; I like it when I saw it in the theatre. Elisabeth Shue certainly helped.

Today, it's unwatchable. Sorry, but Ralph Macchio? He weighs 11 lbs in the movie.

And it's not his fault, but he's wearing pants that are hitched up past his navel.

It was a bad era for fashion.

Other than the Miami Vice look, of course.

Yeah, I rocked it. I rocked it hard.

I have a feeling that the Leafs will nab this guy soon. I was pro-Harding until he re-signed, then Mason came on my radar. Now that CBJ has Bob.......who knows?

Can't imagine Burke would consider him an upgrade over Riemer and Scrivens though, can you?

Please do not write poop like this.

He hasn't played much because we don't want him to lose games single-handedly.

He's one of the worst contracts in the league. The sooner all Leafs fans admit it, the better.

Besides, when he's traded to Vancouver tonight, we don't want Canucks fans accusing us of only saying he sucks after he left the Leafs.

Now hear this, Canucks fans: Komi sucks. He sucks big time. And he will still suck when he sits in the pressbox for the Canucks this season.
