It should be calm, when a team has no talent to make waves.
The smartest thing Toronto can do is draft and develop good young players. Not sure trading is the way to go for this team. - Daman
So adding Gardiner and Lupul for Beauchemin was really not worth the effort?
Colborne and a first for Kaberle?
I don't understand your comments at all. |

coming home from Pittsburgh with only Grig, Forsberg, or Tervainen is not a bad thing |

"but it is clear that if Toronto comes back from Pittsburgh with only Filip Forsberg or Teuvo Teravainen added to the fold, that this weekend will be labeled as a failure"
That's why Toronto has so much trouble building, because management has no patience! With Yak, Galy, Murray, Grigs, Forsberg, Rielly available you're getting a very good young prospect...why is that a failure? Building a contender takes time. |

From a non-Leaf fan perspective, drafting a good player at 5 should make for a successful enough day. Not sure why a common theme is that you have to blow sh*t up or make major noise to be a good draft. |

How many championships you got ever there in Ottawa?
Sorry, I mean how many dynasties have the Sens had in their history?
Is Spezza done coughing up the puck every time he has it? or does McLean has to give him a hand job after every shift on the bench to get him to buy in? |

I cant wait for this day to be over so I dont have read anymore crap about the draft.
Burke will do nothing today except draft some eventually disappointing player in the 5th spot. |

The Leafs should trade up to #2, sounds like Yakoffapov could be available, if not, Gally is fine.
I like that there is no rush to get Luonguo, the Leafs are working from a position of strength. VAN wants him off the books before July 1 so they can make UFA offers....wait them out.
If Grigorenko slides down to the late teens, a trade to draft him would be ok. Give him 2 years to develop and it could be a steal. I know some people who have had these labels of being lazy in the NHL before and simply its not true. The kid is 18 and had mono. Take a chance.
I'm starting to get sick of all the media hype. Many GMs have said its quiet but the media have been saying anything can happen for the past couple of weeks. After today, I'm tuning out until July 1st, then I'm tuning out until September. |

Teravainen should not be dismissed so lightly. He is a full year younger than Yakupov. He has not done strength and conditioning on a mature body. Watch for a team to try and move up and grab him in the 4th or 6th slot. If the Leafs don't want him they might do a dance with one of the teams that are really high on the kid. |
