part of the reason I don't like this trade is that we didn't get much for him and we deplete our organisational depth in goal. Leightons gone and sure we can sign a 500 k backup but what if bryz goes down? Maybe we sign Biron who can fill in?
- Hextall271

I thought they got great value for Bobrovsky. A 2nd rounder is about what I expected. Then to get two 4th round picks also. Good deal. The Draft is tonight. Maybe they draft a Goalie. I don't see the backup on the Flyers as an issue.

Hong-Couver?

No I'll leave the pimping out there to you haha. I have the whole weekend off, including friday and monday.

Going out camping in the wild.

Good plan. It'll probably just piss down rain here anyway. Horrible spring and slow start to summer. My bloody spring break tan is fading..............

I'd take Couture straight up in a heartbeat, but it'll never happen. Pavelski and a Dman would also do it for me.
- rockychocbill

Same, but yeah, the sharks have no reasons to make those moves. I imagine the big names theyd consider moving are Thornton and Marleau.

I believe JVR's value is actually very high right now. I like Subban and in recent history there have been trades involving wingers and d-men.

Neal, Niskanen for Goglogoski
Heatley + for Burns +

I wouldn't not rule out a simliar trade involving JVR.

- ravishingone

I dont think its super high but he does bring value. He was dominant in the playoffs, but honestly any player can get hot. Umberger dominated Montreal a few years back. The biggest thing that would worry me is his injuries, and he really needs work on his defensive game. Especially if he is supposed to be a 1st line player.

I'd keep the kid unless it brings a really promising or established star. Subban really needs a mentor more than anything imo. Kimmo could do that.

PK for JVR?
Interesting.

They're both high ceiling guys who haven't reached their potential. Similiar in age and production during their careers so far.

It started out balls sweaty up here.

+30*C but has been raining for the last 3 weeks.

I'm working for Weed-Man this summer so I'm outside every day. Got a great tan from the gloves I have to wear.

Not interested in that turtling mofo. Maybe if Pronger was still here to get him in line but he just seems very undisciplined.

Regardless of what happens. If he's still here when the puck drops. I'm looking forward to a fine Season from JVR. Have you considered contacting the Flyers to give them your Medical advice concerning JVR?
- MJL

They already know and everyone is keeping it hush hush.

Who the frank makes up "cam impingement" when writing an article on a players health anyways? I'd bet $1K that reporter had never heard the term until someone in the Flyers organ-I-zation mentioned it to him. And then the lid got shut on that noise real quick.

Subban was expected to be the go to guy on D the last couple of seasons with Markov always out.

He has had troubles, but in that crazy market, he has still been able to do some great things. Montreal also really needs offense and size up front.

I would do JVR for PK. Kimmo could do wonders for the kid.

From Montreal's perspective, they're trying to transition from smaller forwards. JVR being the second overall pick in the draft, certainly the injuries are a concern, but he is just entering the prime of his career. If you believe in JVR's ability and durability, the cap hit is a steal.

P.K., I agree with you 100 percent needing a mentor. I think both guys have similiar ceilings.

There will be a few cheap back-ups come available for sure. Bryz just needs to be shown he's loved and needed.

How is this pronounced?

Koo Koo?

I think they Flyers should take him based on his name alone.

I could have used your services a month or so ago. After power raking the moss and crap out, I had bare patches the size of face off dots. Lots of overseeding, but it's coming along nicely now.

Actually I believe that is pretty close. I just think the Flyers value guys with higher ceilings, then taking the safe pick. Koo Koo is definitely high ceiling type.

Hey Marc. Yeah I saw that. I've got a couple of Ticketmaster gift cards burning a hole through my desk drawer but that game comes at the end of their 8 game road trip. I know it's broken up by Christmas a bit, but still. Do you think they have anything left for that last game or will it be another clusterfudge like the last time they were here?

I knew it was a conspiracy all along. Someone deep inside the Flyers Organization is trying to sabotage JVR's Season next year. I wonder what he did?
