I agree that Roy could be a good 3rd line center, but they'll probably ask for a dman other than suckera. Someone with some talent which I don't think Buffalo should give up. Also keep in mind, Roy's kind of a head case. Do you think he'll be happy playing on a 3rd line role? he can be a pouter and I don't think ripping into your coach on exit day helped his reputation in the league.
- sliprock65

I actually was thinking Weber or ? I don't think he would mind it, I really don't. Especially on a cup contending team. Roy was his best when he played 3rd line and didn't have to play against other teams top D pair and top forwards. He would be a solid 50 - 60 point guy, and behind Crosby and Malkin, that's all you need

The key would be if Roy was willing to do the little things that a third line is required to do to help shut down the other team

When Roy was on the third line for the sabres, he went flying in the corner

now he floats around the perimeter

I haven't heard anyone mention this guy...

15. Hampus Lindholm

Profile
2011-12 Team: Rogle Jr. League: SWE
Position: Defence Height: 6'3
2011-12 Stats: 28 GP, 5 G, 17 PTS Weight: 196 lbs.

Scouting Rankings
NHL Central Scouting: 4 ES, International Scouting Services: No. 19, The Hockey News: No. 15, Button's Ranking: No. 10

TSN Scout Craig Button:
Hampus is an all-around defenseman who has the capability to play whatever style the game dictates. There are good skaters but Hampus can be referred to as a complete skater with speed, quickness, agility and balance. He uses the strength of his skating to influence the game both defensively and offensively. He can skate the puck out of trouble and is very good at jumping into the attack. He can pivot and handle speed from a defensive standpoint and negate opponents. He has excellent hockey sense and is able to make plays under pressure but more importantly has the ability to quickly adapt to changing circumstances and varying challenges. Very confident with the puck and his plays are strong. He is not hesitant to make plays that may be termed risky but the better term may be calculated risk. Effective with his body and can play a physical game and has the capability to play the heavy and hard minutes because of his stature. A complete defenseman who doesn't leave you short in any area of the game.

I didn't think he would have played with Vanek.. I thought that it was pretty well known that they have had horrible chemistry together..

I didn't know if he was with like Afinogenov and Pommer or Afino and Stafford.

He almost always played w/ Vanek. I'm just not sure if Staff was consistantly on the other wing
