according to baker, the sabres (as well as every other team) has had their eyes on galchenyuk for a couple of years...his injury, according to devine, left his scouts with notes from the previous season...
he's big, born in america, has skills and has intangibles...if they're gonna move up, he'd probably be the target...
baker opened up his player preview for the draft with this, "I've been waiting two years to say this: SabresProspects fully endorses Alex Galchenyuk as the Sabres top target in the 2012 draft."
a gamble? yes
worth taking? yes, imo - b0s0o1
Don't get me wrong... i like the kid too.. he was born and raised in Milwaukee just like me and Stafford..
I liked him better when they thought he might fall to 7-8 because trading there is a lot easier and cheap than trading into the top 5.

Sorry I had to. - Gunner Staal
That picture makes me cringe. I was in the building for that game. I seriously thought his neck was broken. I thought I was going to throw up sitting in my seat.
I think I trust baker more then any other regarding sabre prospects, including our current GM - homiedclown
yeah, he's good...btw...did some research on his site and came across a chat on day two of the 2010 draft...had all the buzzards there including "boos the outcast"

almost like watching him skate off when his foot was nearly cut off in the series against Philly in the playoffs.. at one time I saw a picture of that injury.. it looked like a machete hit his leg...
was never able to find the picture after that night though.
yeah...possible at #12, but they usually take the best player available...devine said that if a potential top-pairing d-man was there as opposed to a top-nine forward, they'll take the d-man - b0s0o1
Cody Ceci is a top pair D man that if available they should take assuming they stick with the #12 pick.

If only the amnesty clause turns into reality with the new CBA.
Say goodbye Leino and start the bidding on Parise? - kingcong39
I still don't count us out on parise's rights.. I really don't..
we all know that Parise is #1 on Darcy's want list.. I bet he just has been trying to figure out if NJ is gonna sell him and what they would want from Buffalo..
Buffalo is probably trying to hold on to those pieces as long as possible and not trade someone or a pick that they would need to get parise...
But Lindy will probably see that Parise has played 50+ games at center in his career and start him between Vanek and Pommer if we get him.
This really isn't a difficult concept. This is standard for all players with one year left on a contract... I honestly can't figure out how your mind has led you to the conclusions you've mentioned in your previous posts.
It's mind-boggling. - Moshe52792
Because Staal, and all the Penguins players, are the greatest players in the NHL and possibly ever.
Every team wants them and will give an unbelievable amount of quality for each one of them.
He's also basing his trade thoughts based on the numerous amount of sign and trade deals that have taken place in the NHL post lockout.
Wait, this isn't the NBA you say....?

Where my seats are I couldn't tell who it was at first. My buddy and I were going down the bench and watching the players on the ice to try and figure out who it was. I ended up getting a text from a friend that was watching the game at home. I seriously almost threw up. I've always really liked Pominville, so seeing that in person was hard.
I missed him skating off during the playoffs. I can't remember why, but I think I was at work for that game or I stepped out of the room for a minute and missed it. I'm glad I didn't see it though.
not enough I know... I am trying to low ball him like he has been for the last year about nash. - JVince117
i speculated either mcnabb or pysyk would need to be in the mix...
from c-bus perspective, if they could get one of those two plus a potential top-pairing d-man at #12, that in addition to whatever else the sabres will give up would make for a pretty good trade...especially if they consider mcnabb or pysyk to be on par with ryan murray
