yeah....NO.

I wasn't voting for it... I was just saying... "could be" but don't want it to be.

I honestly think Howson trading Nash is holding up the flood gates. How Howson still is employed is beyond belief to be honest, I can see Craig Patrick phasing him out here shortly. I don't know what to think about what Darcy will do, the Sabres are in a great position with 4 solid picks to gain help in the middle via trade but I would not be surprised if we drafted four prospects.
- buffalokb

i really fear the latter scenario.

like to the point of being nauseated.

I'm thinking as soon as one deal is done.. then a in division team will need to make a move to compare to them.. then it will be another rival in the same conference.. then another.. then the other conference needs to match it..

its gonna happen...

It's all hoopla...Nash will stay with CBJ, Parise will stay with NJD, Luongo will stay with VAN, Staal will stay with PIT, Statsny will stay with COL.

Just because Brent Burns got moved last year doesn't mean that the Draft is now July 1st.

craig patrick and terry pegula have a history...my bet is that they've had the most talks with c-bus...

pure speculation on my part, but does make some sense since the sabres have the picks, players and prospects to move up...

The chances of ever gaining an additional 1st round pick for a player like Gaustad are slim and none... We need to capitalize on another team's greed and use these picks now to make a push to the better. We already know that Pegula has lit a fire under Regier's seat... now its time to see what comes of it..

Regehr, Ehrhoff, and Hodgson have all been acquired since Pegula has come to town.. and I think it will only get better going up hill right now.

the tendency, if you look back a bit, is to have more fireworks around the draft as opposed to the trade deadline...

i think it's a trend that will continue...

No decisions in Columbus are being made without Patrick's influence at this point.

Also, for everyone saying how well positioned we are with our two first round picks - Tampa has 10 and 19 and Washington has 11 and 16.

Actually... Goose posted a really good article about last year's draft moves and it was far more than Brent Burns..

Mike Richards, Jeff Carter, Burns, Heatley, Setoguchi, Havlat.. just to name the few that I remember.

Tampa traded 2 2nd rounders for Lindback.. that 10 and 19 is all they have til the 3rd round.

WSH definitely is in the best position.. they have 2 good picks plus the most total picks in the draft with 11.

I think Roy in a package deal for Stall makes perfect sense. Pittsburgh would be getting an 80 point 3rd line center. Throw in a Defensive D man like Weber and a couple of picks and it makes sense for both sides. Thats if Stall would sign a long term deal.
- sabrescupbound

Roy has been in the league 8 years, and has had 80 points once. You sound like Garth. If Roy is an 80 point center, we should just keep him then.

Karen Klien is a widow of 15 years

Her son took his own life 10 years ago

What does a bus monitor make a year? 15,000 maybe?

She's already going to be receiving 500 grand?

Take a vacation Karen or you know what? Retire. Get out of your abusive low wage job and enjoy life.

I know nobody wants to say it but she was doing a poor job at her job. She deserved NOTHING close to what happened at all, but she also let this go unreported for quite some time.

We have options so that is always a good thing to have. The Roy situation is an interesting one. Many people just want him out of town for a bag of pucks but what if he has 70pts at the trade deadline and is one of the hottest commodities? I just hope Darcy can part with some of our top "prospects" to bring that center in that makes us a contender. I thought LA was nuts for trading Schenn but Mr. Richards will be enjoying his day with the cup here shortly.....

I can agree with this... trade the future for the present.. you just hope you don't trade too much of the future...

I think Buffalo is a high 20's aged team.. i think they could trade prospects and not run the risk of falling into a deep hole because their team will be too old before newly added prospects are ready to step up..

I think outside of Foligno... every prospect should be considered... If it takes trading McNabb to get a Getzlaf, Staal, or Nash.. I would do it.
