SOO true.. one of the first things coaches do when a HS player gets to college is just grind the (frank) out of their confidence because they don't want them to be thinking they are some hot shot best in the world to grace the gridiron.

I think Roy in a package deal for Stall makes perfect sense. Pittsburgh would be getting an 80 point 3rd line center. Throw in a Defensive D man like Weber and a couple of picks and it makes sense for both sides. Thats if Stall would sign a long term deal.

Dreger just tweeted that it's going to be a quiet day - I wouldn't doubt it. The hype will subside, there won't be any trades, everyone will pick at their positions and the order will be just as predicted.

I agree on the support part but the context of hockey coach is totally different. What happened on the bus was humans being evil - for a coach it's just a tool to enforce discipline - similar to how the military uses it.

I honestly think Howson trading Nash is holding up the flood gates. How Howson still is employed is beyond belief to be honest, I can see Craig Patrick phasing him out here shortly. I don't know what to think about what Darcy will do, the Sabres are in a great position with 4 solid picks to gain help in the middle via trade but I would not be surprised if we drafted four prospects.
