wouldn't Nash look good with Gomez and Gionta?.. he'd definitely score 50 and get at least 30 assists as well...

and more than likely he'd be Montreal's all-star nomination... just like Komisarek was.

definitely wouldn't benefit from playing with Grabovski and Kulemin... much better to go to the Habs.

but how does the francaphone announcer and play by play guy make Nash sound French?

- BorjeFan4Ever

Habs have no cap space for him, all the money is going to Price and PK...until Gomaids and Kaberlaids are gone

What's the word on Armstrong these days? Still battling concussion symptoms or is he out of the woods and good to go?
- AlexF

I have not heard anything on that.

JVR played with Briere, and Simmonds, and sometimes with Talbot, Voracek, and Schenn. Aside from Briere, I wouldn't say those guys are much better than Nash's linemates.

He also didn't get much time on the PP.

- Fosco

voracek in philly was better than the voracek in Columbus and briere is better than what nash has had to work with and jvr has still struggled to put points up

Yup, and you don't trade excessive amounts of assets for an overpaid player, no matter how good he is.
- Moshe52792

who would you rather have a on a line with richards and gaborik, Hagelin or Nash. I'm taking nash. If howson want to comeback from crazytown and accept a deal of dubinsky, dz, mcilrath, forgaty and the 28th pick then i would be all for it.

Oh come on....you under estimate him. It will be with Lombardi and Armstrong

I would be surprised if the two teams traded.

I did say "Apart from Briere." Huselius, although he has had injury issues, has always been a good playmaker, Vyborny, as well, was a decent assist man. Voracek put up his highest points and assist totals while on CLB, so I don't buy that. Carter was also a solid player, although certainly not pass first.

Maybe not the highest calibre linemates, but the whole "poor Rick Nash has never had decent linemates" shtick, is a bit exaggerated, and I wouldn't say JVR's linemates were that much better.

JVR did fine his first two seasons, for a young guy. He had a bad season this year because of an injury, or he would have likely put up over 50 points, which is not too shy of Nash's totals.

Philly want to move JVR and Jagr probably not coming back so they need the big forward. He is about the biggest their is.

SJ ,just plain needs a kick start and it makes sense to dump marleau and have Thorton passing to Nash.

jeff carter played less 40 games for the jackets. no point in including him on the list. Vyborny was a good player but he was no briere.

Again, I did say "Apart from Briere."

It's still 40 games with a decent linemate, although, like I said, he's not a pass first. Still Nash put up his worst numbers in years.

I just don't buy the "poor Nash" thing. His linemate woes are exaggerated.

i cant wait to prove that vandel guy or w/e his name is wrong. clowe + havlat for luongo? LOL

it's gonna be a good pick/prospect and a higher salary player going the other way. but according to him, luongo's price has driven up and he's gonna land a huge return

Vantel, like others, throws out proposals all the time, just for $hits. It's not like most people who make these proposals expect them to happen. It's just to kill time during the doldrums of summer.
