toronto gives up the 2013 1st round pick, Schenn and Ross - tomburton99
there you go, wasnt that hard now was it?
highly doubt the leafs trade another 1st round pick after the kessel incident unless they package a lot more and get a 1st line center in return. and highly doubt schenn will be in the package for lu, but we'll see soon enough |

im just trying to prove a point, because vandel is apparently extremely knowledgeable about the nucks. even the nucks fans i know arent as blind and know there is a salary dump going the other way for luongo. - sensnucksnocups
I wouldn't call it a salary dump, but more of a move to offset salary in order to fit Luongo, but nobody really knows whether the Canucks will even have to take that back, except the GMs involved. It could also be an undesirable contract that still has some use to the team, as well. |

plays a 300 foot game, and has a 30 goal season under his belt and only 23-24. I dont know what leaf fans think he's worth but I for one definitely think he has value. As for Kadri, I think people are ending his career before it even starts. Lets give the kid some time. - coolehmon41

huh, how are those the same?
Reimer unproven goalie who makes under 2 mil a year for 4 guys who make a combined 15 mil?
We're talking about Luongo, a guy who has a 10 year contract being moved for Komi(fills a need for van and only has 2 years left) plus a prospect(blacker, holzer,d'amigo all very solid) and a pick(obviously not the 5th overall). How is this not a good deal? - coolehmon41
komi is not an asset to any team. even to the teams that need to get to the cap floor. |

Kulemin does have value but he seems to get vaunted up quite highly on these forums (too high). Alternatively another guy who plays a 300 ft game, had a 25 goal season, plays with the first PK unit, and is one of the quicker guys in the league seems to be worth a bag of chips (Mason Raymond). It's all relative from the viewer's eye I guess. Agree on Kadri. He just seems to be shoved into every Leafs trade proposal. |

it wasnt a "what if" scenario. you were trolling on me saying the nucks wont be getting a salary dump in the deal, so i asked you what the return for luongo would be, and you said the main pieces are clowe and havlat. - sensnucksnocups
Show me exactly what I said . |

they won't trade another top 10 pick. but do you honestly think an all star goalie is not worth a 1st round pick, a roster player and a prospect? |

I like the Canucks and I think you're over valuing him.
I would take only one of either a 1st round pick, a prospect or a solid roster player for Luongo. |

You can't just not like leagues where Toronto is awful in. Otherwise you would be left only liking Lacrosse. |

yea, im not talking about scott gomez going back. i'm saying someone like colby armstrong, scotty upshall, etc.
and yes, the canucks need someone like armstrong. they are one of the softest teams in the league, and if gillis doesnt do something about that they wont stand a chance in the playoffs. |

+ I bet... Getzlaf would be the best player to have played there in 15+ years...no way he goes for just a 3rd pairing D-man and a player that may or may not be an impact player in the NHL in the future... |

Pretty sure the Argos have the most Grey cups of all time bud. The CFL is unwatchable has nothing to do with how toronto's team is doing |
