You guys do know Montreal only filed for arbitration so teams couldn't offer sheet Price, right? Teams do this all the time, it doesn't actually mean negotiations are going badly.

They have to know they're the favorites to sign Jordan Staal next summer. I wonder if this doesn't actually eliminate them as trade teams - why give up assets to get a guy you can get in UFA in a year?
