DW should get his a$$ fired if this is the deal! Clowe + Demers + Neimi + 2nd round pick FOR Nash + Mason... only deal that makes sense... then pick of Travis Moen in free agency to help fill clowes spot

It was our first, not our 2nd! Even worse! And Moen isn't half the player Clowe is. We've already seen what Moen could do with us and it wasn't much. |

They have to know they're the favorites to sign Jordan Staal next summer. I wonder if this doesn't actually eliminate them as trade teams - why give up assets to get a guy you can get in UFA in a year?

Agreed.
Your trade looks better in the sense of not over paying, but if you are the Jackets I dont want a guy who grinds I want a scorer (thats why Pavs is in play) and I dont believe Marleau will be in the deal for Nash (some SJ fans want Marleau for Nash). I think he will be traded elsewhere if necessary to bring in Nash. |

I don't know for sure, but considering DW was a defenseman in the NHL, I"d imagine he's had a few concussions as well.... He could be dumb enough to do this. |

He's actually pretty good, has beaten Darren and Bob to deals on more than a few occasions. He once referred to them as "those (frank)ers at TSN" when they didn't credit him with breaking a deal |

Pavs alone is a better player than Nash. There, I said it. Lower cap hit, one of the best in the league in the draw circle. Scored more points than Nash last season. I don't want to trade Pavs for Nash who carries a horrendous contract. Let alone all those other assets involved in the deal. |
