"I have had at least three sources today inform me that Toronto is talking about Nash and Luongo and moving up in the draft, while all along getting closer and closer to obtaining Parise's rights...stay tuned."
Are you seriously trying to suggest that the Leafs are looking at Nash AND Luongo, AND moving up in the draft AND obtaining Parise's rights?
Where, pray tell, are all these assets coming from?
Also, you forgot Bobby Ryan. - hemlock34
He's going to trade Schenn and Kadri three times each |

If Edmonton is going to deal the top pick its going to be to Columbus or Montreal... possibly Islanders if they feel Murray would make it to 4.
Getting a decent prospect plus that pick would probably be the only deal that would make sense... if Edmonton can come out of the draft with 2 top 4 Dman (potential) for the 1st overall.. I think they would be very very happy - kneughter

He also wanted to swing a deal for the first overall to get John Tavares. IMO,if he acquires the first overall pick, it's because he overpaid. Plain and simple. - hemlock34
I like how the 2nd overall costs twice as much as the 1st overall... |

Well, he may need to overpay, but IF it is the case that EDM likes Colbourne, then this deal makes sense for them too. They still get an excellent D prospect at 5, plus a good C. They are then free to trade Gagner if they want for either another 1st round pick (there are a few big wingers in this draft - ANA has been rumored to be open to trading their pick in such a deal...) or a young winger...

Rick Nash is a very good player...he's not great. That asking price is ridiculous for a player who has only once topped 70 points.
Whatever team gets him, unless he's got another gear that we haven't seen yet; they will end up over paying for sure.
Even in the Olympics it took him how long till he got his first goal? |
