I think the Oilers are at a point where they can't keep draft young guys and produce the losing culture. They need some top end vets to lead the team in the right direction. If I am them, I go to the Ducks and offer 1st overall for Getzlaf (if he signs an extension). This brings cred to the oilers and would attract more FA's.

I may be nuts but at some point you have to make a bold move.

The 5th pick isn't that bad too... If we could land Grigorenko, that would satisfy me. We get a Centre with loads of potenital and it doesnt cost us any assets.
