Man its dead on here today. Maybe this will generate some chatter.

Renaud P Lavoie ‏@RenLavoieRDS Whoever he is? TWEETS.

According to sources out of Long Island, it appears PA Parenteau is headed to free agency on July 1.

OK nothing that U & I hadnt figured out on our own.

But now its been reported (video clip on TSN) that Montreal is OPEN MINDED about their #3 overall pick and are exploring options for a top 6 forward.

So how about this: Would this work? Is it feasible? Or just plain Dumb? (boy did I open myself up for that one )

We give Montreal the Negotiating rights to PAP. In addition we trade them KO and a late rd draft pick. Say a 3rd or 4th rd pick.

In exchange we get their 3rd overall pick.

Lets say that both parties go for that. We wind up with the 3rd and 4th overall picks in this yrs draft. Montreal gets KO, a draft pick and the rights to PAP. Who just might like it up in Montreal.

AAAHHH! I'm not stopping there.

Now we give the Oilers a call.

We offer them the 3rd and 4th overall picks in the draft for their 1st overall and their 3rd or 4th rd pick.

We get Nail. Oilers Get a top "D" and a top "Forward"

In essence we actually received the 1st overall pick for Kyle Okposo. Because PAP aint signing here anyway.

OK boys and girls. Take your best shot. Its been a slow day.

almost forgot WOOF! WOOF!

How about just giving the negotiating rights to PA and our pick for their 1st rd. pick...

id prefer the 3rd and 4th pick....the only way im trading one of those is if an NHL ready player is coming back in return

Imagine the pair of prospects we could get with #3 & #4!

Day before Draft Day. Good day to Dream.

I hope tomorrow has some wheeling and dealing going on. Straight up and down drafting could be a bit anti climatic.

You know... It depends on who's columns, blogs and mock drafts you read.

I've read so many conflicting opinions in the last several weeks.

From Forsberg at 17 yrs of age will need 3-4 yrs to develop. To a recent one that had him NHL ready NOW!

Here's one from TSN

Player: Olli Maatta
Position: Defence
Team: London (OHL)
Pierre McGuire's Notes: "Probably the most NHL ready defenceman in the draft right now."

Mind you this is from a Mock Draft that has Grigo going 17th pick.

One of the more interesting comments I've recently read was this.

From all NYR site:

Like Edmonton, the Islanders’ need is more on the blueline than up front. If Galchenyuk, however, falls into their lap at #4, the temptation to pounce on the prolific center will be great. While Galchenyuk missed most of 2011-12 due to major knee surgery, he displayed more than enough before the injury to warrant a pick this high, putting up 83 points in 68 games as a 16-year old rookie in the OHL. Sarnia teammate Nail Yakupov says his (own) hands are “not as good as Galchenyuk’s.” That’s some high praise coming from the consensus first overall pick. Isles could fleece Toronto in a deal if Galchenyuk is available here, because Brian Burke wants him badly.

How badly? Maybe we shall see.

When I sold my house on LI in 1999. I had multiple offers. I wound up selling to the guy who originally offered me the least amount of money. And I mean scraping the ground low. He came up to nearly the asking price!

I was typing fast. Had to get my daughter to a job interview.

Thanks boys for getting my back.

NHL.com just reported that Staal turned down a 10 yr contract from Pittsburgh.

Wolfpack in the House. Staal would be a great number 2 center. No way Pitt trades within the division though. I hope Snow has his Trade hat on tomorrow. Show the Fans something and improve this team.

I don't understand that whatsoever. It's limited to 250 tickets when, at least, 5x that would show up for the game at the Coli. For a team that is desperate for every penny you'd think they'd want to milk that game for all it's worth.

Wang isn't going to give Snow the go ahead to do anything until he gets an arena deal. Isles are just going to sign old slow pieces of poop to fill the voids and drag this saga out until 2015.
