but what injuries does he have? this is what i don't understand. when a guy gets injuries as he getsa older, ya, i see how he's breaking down. but Cole is getting older and sturdier. so i don't see where this china doll stuff comes from.
- DoubleDown

He has battled a lot of injuries in his past, and as he gets older his body breaks down and falls a step a behind more and more. At 34 years old players begin to decline, they dont get better. He has been relatively healthy in recent years, but you cant expect it to last, nor can you expect him to be around in 4 years or so when the Habs rebuild is done and they are ready to compete.

Anyone else hoping the Habs select Gally and then trade Pleks to pick up Grigo?

I appreciate you generalizing every Habs on this board as to how you see them, not for what they actually said.

And quite frankly, perhaps it is time you stay away from this site for another long period of time.

I got a message full of insults last time I was here in April. I stayed away for about two months. It's no fun.

Jesus, talk about putting words into my mouth.
- thomas81

Here is your quote, and I will highlight the area in question.

Please name me a Habs player that you would ahead of Grabo?

Basically, you're just a bad talent evaluator. Grabo would have been the 2nd most attractive UFA this summer.

Your words not mine

You missed the part that the Habs finished with the 3rd worst record in the league. That's an indication of a very bad team. Considering they are among the oldest groups in the league (Leafs being the youngest), I'd say they're about another 5 years away from the playoffs.
- thomas81

1) The Leafs are the 2nd youngest.

2) Leafs have really killed it with their team since the strike, how many times have the picked in the top 5 now? Top 10? And yes, that includes the ones they traded away...

that's the problem.
- tomburton99

The real problem is fans of other teams focusing on a troll, who probably isnt even a real fan to begin with, and labeling all fans with that same brush.

Here we have 1 Leaf fan talking nonsense, many more Leaf fans disagreeing with him, but all you notice and focus on is that one fan and not the majority.

That is the problem.

I'm not really sure what this has to do with you picking Grabovski over Carey Price, PK Subban, or arguably Max Pacioretty.

Hell, I would take Pleks over Grabovski.

Not enough.

They only picked in the top 5 or 10 twice, and only traded a top 5 or 10 pick once or twice.

Most of their picks are developing, since they stopped trading them away.

Why? It's a free country. Burke and I agree. Most Leafs fans would agree.
- thomas81

Find me a quote that Burke has ever stated that!

Habs fan are so great. If we don't agree with your crap (Price is the best goaltender in the world, Subban is the best young defenseman in the league, Pacioretty will be a consistant 50 goal scorer,...) than we are considered trolls.

That's why I stay away from this site for long periods of time, I'm sick of the abuse from you Quebec people.

- thomas81

You do understand there is middle ground between your comment that Grabo is better than any Habs player and "Price is the best goaltender in the world, Subban is the best young defenseman in the league, Pacioretty will be a consistant 50 goal scorer,"

You just come out guns blazing taking a shot a Montreal for no real reason...

There is also many ways to make your point that does not make you sound like a teenage troll.

If you dont see that, you need to log off ...permanently

Regardless.

Taking the Habs to task for 1 season out of the playoffs, when the Leafs are the only team in the entire NHL not to have made the playoffs since the strike/lockout.

Man, that is one hell of a great argument on your part.

actually the Habs average age this past season was below that of Edmonton's and they fall in the the middle of the league in that regard. aside from that, you're right about them being among the oldest.

That's your opinion, I would take Grabo over pleks. I'll give you Price and Subban but this is Pacioretty first big season. Kulimen had 30 goals last year, then this year he struggled. How about we wait and see if Pacs can repeat before saying he is better than Grabo?
