Like trading the pick and Louis Leblanc for Bobby Ryan?

Him and Gally are the two that make the most sense for Timmins.

That being said, Jame Mirtle is reporting that both Toronto and Montreal have Galchenyuk at 2 on their boards.

Habs need WAY more than one player, Love Bobby ryan but the Habs have very little depth at forward, too early to move pieces at this point in the rebuilding process. Patience is the key word!!!

And yakupov at #1 so for the habs it all depends on what will Columbus do....if there is no trades in the top 2

While I agree, Bobby Ryan being only 25 and a consistant 30 goal scorer...

Let's just say he's the type of player I'd consider giving the pick+ for.

Really?

Think the Leafs have Forsberg above him as well?

The rumors have been that Forsberg is who TO has had at 1 for a while. I hope that's not the case, but oh well.

Talk about a terrible way to start your pro career.

Then again, with their current line-up, Galchenyuk will likely play on the first line.

I clearly should have said they have the most depth in the league and he isn't going to make the team before 2020.

I'd be fine with Galyenchuk.... even if I'd rather have Forsberg.
I still don't understand why the fact he didn't play at all last year is not scaring people....

If Grigorenko didn't play last year would he still be considered #2 as he was back then?

1 year tells alot in the developement of a player.

- Scabeh

I'm wondering why people are so high on Forsberg. He seems to have not so great stats on a second tier league. The only good thing that I hear from him is that he's more NHL ready than the other prospects. Having a player play one or two year earlier than another his not that great if he finally play on the 3rd line were the others would be 1st/2nd line players.

I'm in no way an expert on the draft, so maybe I'm missing something. What are the positives with Forsberg ? Has he really the same kind of potential than Grigorenko or Galchenyuk ?

I just don't want an Eller #2, we already have one of those.

Really? Plekanec didn't have that many points.... thought Grabovski had more considering his huge contract.

Ever heard of Mikhail Grabovski? I'd take him before any Habs player.

That's a fact.

Tha would be ideal, our 4 d prospects are a year or 2 away from contributing to the team, now they need to rebuild the forward depth, it will take a couple years of solid drafting. Habs have 1 st rounder and 2 2nd rounder this year, next year they have their 1st rounder and 3 2nd rounder. That will go a long way in rebuilding the prospect pool IF (big if) they draft well.
