Have you made that offer in JJ's blog ? I bet they ripped you. - VANTEL
I cant stand crawford and I would not make the Lou for Hossa deal. Not a chance in hell. Hossa is a rock solid two way player. |

Just waking up here in China, thought we'd see a couple of moves by now - LeftCoaster
I honestly don't see any big moves until after the draft/start of free agency, this draft is the weakest in a long time and once you get past the top 5, maybe top 10 picks it's worse than a crapshoot, it's put a blindfold on, spin yourself around 5 times and try to pin the tail on the donkey. You also got to take into account that there's going to be a new CBA in place and chances are that the cap ceiling and floor is going to be lowered so that horrible teams don't have to spend as much and the players will have to take another reduction in salaries which could really make things difficult for teams like Vancouver, TO, NYR and LA who are near or at the cap right now. |

If I were Vancouver and I could snag the 2nd pick overall I would be doing some serious wheeling and dealing, Canucks could trade down and walk out of the draft with 2 very good players within the top 10 after some trades. - nelson911
They just one back to back presidents trophys now they should rebuild?
They need an impact player. |

Hossa makes sense on so many levels cause the contracts and the teams needs.
I'm not too hot on Nash cause his cap hit it atrocious. - jakenewton
No one is arguing it makes sense. When have Chi and Van ever agreed on a trade with each other. It makes a whole lot of sense same term and money ,they need to move money out we need a winger. All that said CHI fans would hate it. |

There have been Chicago fans who approved Hossa for Lou? I highly doubt this.
Some have approved Lou on the team but for other players not for Hossa. I'll take Lou on a different trade. |

Action heating up. Progress is being made on potential Luongo trade. Nothing imminent, but...more ahead on TSN. #TSN
This is the kind of bs we've been getting all day.
Man, you travel a heck of a lot. - AlexF
Burke and Gillis are far from ideal trading partners, it's either going to take a long time to work out a deal with TO or we trade Lu elsewhere or possibly start the season with both goalies.
I'm still guessing he ends up in TO though. |

*Edit* You could hold MTL hostage by picking Galchenyuk or at least swapping with them and maybe snagging Tinordi off of them with some other pieces most likely - nelson911
Agreed. I don't really see how, but if Lu + others could be dangled for a top 5 pick then we might be able to swing something large. That said, we've been complaining about the lack of a #1 Dman for years. These guys are seldom traded for less than a king's ransom. Might be best just to draft Murray or Reinheart and run with it. All of this is wild fiction though. |

Who says they are rebuilding... if you can get 2 nhl ready players this season or after and on a entry level contract you might actually win that cup... thats how the last few winners have pulled it off. |

Gillis should just keep hanging up on the Franker if his first sentence is not Gardiner 2 nd or Schenn 2nd |

Most proposals I've seen on JJ's blog have been Olesz, Crawford and a pick/prospect or one of Stalberg/Frolik. I think we can do much better than that. |

I'm guessing MG would much rather trade him to a team like TOR or FLA since they would probably offer more and he'd rather not help out the Blackhawks. Put Lu on the Hawks and they become a favourite in the West for sure. |

I'd be inclined to agree. I just don't see it. And while I'm at it, any deal with Lu going over that has Crawford coming back is just as ridiculous. Our pipe is about to burst with (quality) goalies. |

Understood but still doesnt really explain the Torres doesnt think so comment in reference to him being a two way player.
Why would the nucks brass be willing to take the gamble on Hossa for a franchise goalie but the Hawks brass shouldent be willing to take that gamble on Hossa? In today's game most players are one big head shot away from an extended vacation. |
