Winnipeg could get much better value than that. I would love Buff come playoff time as well, but that trade is not happening.

Well, entertaining the idea for a sec, if the Jets really can't resign Pavelec then they'll need a #1 goalie without question. Lu is by far the best available. So if Lu goes in a package deal of some sort for Buff I suppose it's possible. Maybe they're sick of dealing with his chronic weight battling issues or his boating DUIs.

His real value is in the playoffs when the whistles get put away. And he's the kind of guy that creates space for skilled players and allows them to put up the PTS which you can't really see on the score sheet. He's the only guy in the league that can be a top 4 d-man or top 6 forward, extremely valuable player and is worth every penny in the playoffs. We would probably rip him at times during the regular season though and MG would have some issues with his conditioning for sure.
