I find it a bit disconcerting that Ek hasn't gotten on the Jagr to Flames rumor bandwagon yet.
at the idea of Wideman as a backup plan for Suter (that said, it wouldn't surprise me if a team did that) - S Kaspar Rollins
Is that more funny or less funny than Connolly being the backup plan for Richards? |

It's a perfectly legitimate rebuilding strategy, granted, some teams are more efficient at it than others (for instance, I think LA only needed one top 3 pick) - S Kaspar Rollins
Yah and it was hickey.....he hasn't laced up in the NHL yet |

What the difference between a kings player and a Canucks player?....
One dives on the ice.....the other dives into a mountain of blow and rape charges - jakenewton
Now that's creative. Doughty can dive on the ice also. |

He was 4 actually, I was referring to Doughty who was no. 2. And Hickey was a way off the board pick.
They also picked Schenn no. 5 and just used him as a good asset. |

Did you guys even make the playoffs? ......whos your goalie again? - jakenewton
We sure did make the playoffs. We even won a game more than your team did, even with our half-assed goaltender tandem.
Where was Luongo? Riding the pine after game 2, if I'm not mistaken? |

Not sure about RNH, Landeskog played more roles on his teams I think thats what made it tip in his favour. Even if RNH played a full season - numbear
If RNH plays a full season its not even a race. |

One bad series....... - jakenewton
Had a hell of a time closing out Chicago
Heck, Toews scored on his freakin knees at the end of the 3rd to extend game 7
Does a gamer let in that goal?
It's more than 1 bad series. Stepping up when the chips are down is not in Luongos DNA |

Loungo will never....ever .....ever play in Columbus.
- jakenewton
That would be funny if I had ever said anything of the sort. But I didn't, because I know that a) Luongo is too much of a princess to come to the midwest, and b) nobody in their right mind is going to take that albatross of a contract from the Canucks. Even if he would be the best goalie that we've ever had, paying that much for an aging star on the decline is madness. |

How do you account for the last two playoff losses then? Granted, Thomas outplayed Luongo in the finals and that definitely was a huge factor, but it wasn't the only one |

I don't doubt that if Toronto gets Luongo, they'll probably make the playoffs next year, maybe regardless of what else they do. Beyond that, who knows |

otoh it's not like you have a better historical record
(I've always felt that bragging about success more than like 5 years ago, at most, is pretty meaningless anyway) - S Kaspar Rollins
I think as a "fan" you really can't brag about anything. I mean, "fans" don't play or have any saying on the outcome or performance of a team, but I guess if it makes people feel better about themselves. I can brag that I picked to root for the wrong teams for 37 years...... |
