Because you haven't changed your way of thought and haven't moved on from the tight budgeted/small market mindset to the Pegula era yet. I will be surprised if at least one significant trade is not made on or before Friday. Teams don't always have 4 of the top 44 picks to play with and spruce up trade offers.

Thats not it at all... I just think Darcy might not want to pull the trigger on whats out there, I think that if he cant get the player he wants in a trade he might put all his eggs in 1 basket and push for Parise and end up swinging and missing, not saying a deal cant be done after the draft but I think a Roy trade might be all we see untikl July 1st

Hockeydb lists him as a center. He was drafted as a center (yeah, decades ago). I'm guessing that he has played center a good chunk of his career (sorry not a steve sullivan expert).

It will most likely be from a team in the Western Conference if it is for a signicant forward, hopefull center.

RE: Miller, Vanek and Sekera.

Miller may be an issue. Look at his pouting last season. I also believe he gives total non-support to Enroth.

Vanek is not an issue in the room. But he dissapeared at the end of the last two seasons. Sekera not an issue in the room. Played better than Myers this season. Yes, better (Sekera played against the best opposition, Myers did not). The problem is winning the World Championship is more important to Sekera than winning the Stanely Cup.

So with that said Vanek and Sekera should go because the goal is to win the Stanley Cup.
