all i care about is a legit #1 center, i've heard bogosian's name thrown around and would love him also. i think if the sharks don't get nash than thornton could be had. the asking price for ryan or nash is just too steep in my opinion. sabres have plenty of options so thats something to be excited about.

But I feel like I've heard talk that he hasn't been living up to expectations...
His salary isn't anything crazy, so that's not really an issue...
As long as it didn't cost a lot to get him, I guess it's be worth the risk to see if he can fulfill his potential

It's going to be just as high, maybe higher, for a #1center...
I really don't think it's worth it
Especially since, IMO, most of the "#1s" that have been talked about have been slumping and/or are overpaid (or soon to be, ex: getzlaf & staal)
Frankly, I don't think there's going to be any "true #1s" available...
I'd rather try n get a "pavelski" type who reminds me of drury and has a reasonable cap #

People do realize that Bogosian took less money on his current deal because he hasn't met expectations right?

He and Myers had very good rookie years and have been a train wreck since.

If its a buy low situation then sure but I have a feeling its not.

i was under the impression that san jose didn't want to get rid of pavelski or couture so thornton could possibly be had. i just feel that the sabres and sharks could make a deal that helps the needs of both teams.
