One of the only things I have against Nash, other than the fact that he is a winger, is that if I was him and had to play for 10 years in Columbus, I would want the hell out.

They have sucked for 10 years straight. Has there been any talk of him going to management and saying: Get me some legitimate talent or I am Audio 5000G?

I am all for loyalty, but what about competitive drive? Say what you want about Jeff Carter, but he wanted out about 1 nanosecond after he arrived there and I can't blame him.

He could be like Joe Thornton... easy-does it attitude, score a ton of points during the season and then get the hell out of Dodge during the playoffs and out on Lake Erie on the pleasure boat.

For that matter, has anyone (Homer) ever heard of our "elites" like Miller or Vanek saying to the Brain Trust R&R "Get me a 1C or I am out of here?"

OMG.. I have proven with Hits, Turnovers, block shots, and PK time stats over and OVER that Nash>>>>>>>>Vanek but everyone just sees Nash as making 700k more but with similar stats..

People don't get it that Nash has played with GARBAGE centers and teammates.

Whoever we have as our premier forward needs to be available ("healthy") for the playoffs. Our goal is to win the Stanley Cup (and to make the most trades to excite the fans in the offseason).

No.. if a player ever did that to management they would be seen as a complete cancer, not a team player, selfish, etc.

Sorry, the he's played with garbage his entire is a GARBAGE excuse. He's a #1 overall pick he shouldn't other players to make him better, he should make other players better.

I agree... Another note... I think that Nash has been keyed on by every team to ever play against CLB and he still has better stats than Vanek who has been surrounded by "above average" talent to limit keying.

I'm not saying their offensive stats aren't closely comparable..

But look at their defensive stats this past year...

Nash had 104 hits, 21 blocked shots, 26 GvA, and 62 TkA

Vanek had 34 hits, 22 blocked shots, 43 GvA, and 24 TkA.

How is not a fair comparison? What do Nash, Crosby and Stamkos all have in common? All of them #1 overall picks...aka franchise players. Crosby and Stamkos make players around them better something Nash has failed at his entire career. He can't carry a team. He shouldn't need other players to make him look better. Stats are really misleading, for a #1 overall pick Nash has some pretty meh stats. 2, 40 goal seasons..Vanek has done that

Malkin has proven he can carry a team without Crosby and Stamkos doesn't play with a great line, he makes his line great.
