Why would you want the Hawks to take on JBo's cap hit? - dcz28
If you consider what Suter will be signing for, it would probably be the same. Bouwmeester has two years left on his deal. Suter will get 5 years plus when it's all said and done.
I think I'd rather have 2 years of Bouwmeester and be able to go in a different direction after that as opposed to a long term deal with Suter.

That's fine. Every team needs a guy like Skille on their 4th line. Mucks it up in the corner, drives to the net. He doesn't score 40 goals a season but he plays like he does. - Panthers88
Ever team needs a player like that, too bad for you that Skille can't. |

Wow. Okay then.
My recollection is that Skille is really good at hitting goalposts. And I don't mean with the puck, I mean by flying from end to end and plowing into them because he can't control his speed while skating. If that's your definition of a "hockey player," then bully for you!
Seriously, though, how did you get the idea that Frolik is afraid to hit? Have you seen him play for the Hawks at all? Judging by your original question, I'm guessing not. I'd still much rather have him than Skille. - flahawkfan
You're right, I'm making these observations based on three years of watching him play here in FLA. Has he changed his play type? Good for him if so. Skille isn't the same type of player he was in Chicago. He certainly doesn't run into goal posts. He's actually scored some nice goals.. and he really does give it 100% every shift. We didn't miss Frolik. |

I don't know why people are obsessed with the idea of getting Bouwmeester. I'd rather have Garrison than JayBo. - DarthKane
Why are you so obsessed over Garrison? Given, the season he had last year is attractive, but at what he's going to sign for, it's a pretty big risk to find out that he's either the real thing or the second coming of Keith Ballard. |

Still the difference in salary won't be that much and Suter is better at both ends of the ice. JBo can barely even hit 30 points and not the best in his own zone. Anytime someone mentions JBo as an option for the Wings, i want nothing to do with that. |

Would anyone be interested in Souray if he could be had relatively cheaply? Might help the PP, and has a bit of a mean streak if I recall. |

And you can have him for the 4.5 million he's asking for - Panthers88
considering CGY paid sarich 3mil, I'd take 4.5 for garrison. THey just need to dump babchuks body some where |

Again I don't think it would be a bad fit in calgary, he replaces Sarich and adds a better shot.
However not sure how well him and Iggy would get along |

I'm not watching. It's always so poorly done. It used to be so bad it was funny, but now it's simply embarrassingly bad. |

I know!! Almost like the 5 Frolik scored lol... - Panthers88
The difference is I didn't come on your board touting Frolik as the second coming of Steve Yzerman with he is a HOCKEY PLAYER b.s.
And by my calculations that is a 20% greater contribution. |

I was more confident in Suter coming here prior to Lids announcing his retirement. Now I think Detroit is going to make a strong run at him. |

I love a good Boucheron or a nice stinky, runny Morbier. With a nice crusty baguette...that's good eating. |

They are going to do their best to bring in Ryan Suter (who I keep hearing may be a two horse race between Detroit and Minnesota) and Zach Parise. -EK
