Same was said for Lahti when he signed with Montreal. Brunnstrom as well I think.

Think Kessel is a pure sniper and one of the most dangerous players in the game but Columbus is asking for a Ransom and wants young players.

Adding in their 2nd means a severe overpayment by Toronto.

If I was Burke i'd sit still in the draft, keep gardiner, bring in Schultz and keep the team as is.

Look to part with Schenn in a little package for a center to compliment Kessel.

since we're talking about ourselves, let me tell you a little about myself.

maybe the lightning would finally get some coverage then with the majority of the stars on their roster. if lindback pays off for us you can expect us right back towards the top of the east. not to mention we have probably the best ever AHL team and tons of prospects that will make a run to make it to the NHL next yr. expect those guys like conacher, johnson, killorn, barberio, gudas to all give yzerman a reason to think.

doesnt lindback have some issue with fatigue? are you even sure he can handle playing 60+ games and then the playoffs (without any breaks)

Reimer/Scrivens are fine. Reimer will be good. A vezina type goalie? Unlikely. But a solid goalie? Yes.

If you go for it though it's gonna cost more than you offered which is why it's not worth it. Go for the 2nd only then.......offer the 5th and Schenn to grab galchenyuk but there is noway Kessel and Percy lands you Nash ontop of that.

nah the leafs play well till teams decide to look for the stretch run and the leafs play playoff hockey till around december 15th, or whenever burke decides he wont trade anyone because of his xmas rule, and when the trade deadline comes the players just say its the coach
