Ya really....it's pathetic. One of the most important off seasons in recent history for the Flames and we get jack squat on here. Come on EK!

The Petition starts here:

The-O-G and Whipper as the new Flames bloggers (since they both have half a brain, combined it should work).

Depends on that prospect i think. Kadri wouldn't do it IMO. Columbus wants Gardiner you can as sure as hell guarantee that. And given what the Rangers are offering you'd almost have to include Gardiner to land Nash.
- willey101

Good i want to keep Kadri we are dump enough to think he would produce 45 goals and 42 assists playing on the 4th line I want to test him before trading him at his lowest value

As for Gardiner it's no but i think Schenn and Percy would do the trick

They don't need one of that caliber. Plenty of teams have done it in the past.
- thomas81

Only great teams can pull that off and the Leafs don't have a team like the 2010 Chicago Blackhawks ...sorry bud

If this piece of literary excellence doesn't win the Nobel Prize for Literature or at the very least a Pulitzer Prize for Fiction I will be extremely disappointed. Its a true masterpiece.... Bravo

Eklund...your article read as follows...Zach Phillips lead St. Johns to the Championship in the Q. Zach played for the Saint John Seadogs ...not St. John's. Saint John is in New Brunswick while St. John's in in Newfoundland...big difference here.

I'll go with the Leafs. Here's why:

-young defensemen with lots of upside: Gardiner, Schenn, Gunnarsson and Franson along with quality vets like Phaneuf and Liles.
-a potent offense led by Kessel, Lupul and Grabo.
-a strong season (after a terrible one) by Kulemin
-a bounce back season by Reimer
-a strong defensive system with an excellent coach

- thomas81

well the Leafs are considered contenders my most hockey pundits anyway so it's not really fair to label them as "flying under the radar". everyone knows they're poisedto be a force for years to come, especially if Burke can nab Yakupov without giving up the 5th.

What are you smoking. Reimer showed early in his career? He's played a total of 71 games. 37 one year and 34 the next. What is early.......last season was early and he was piss poor. Even your fellow Leafs fans are against you.......stay off th wacky tabacky
- willey101

Yup. Cause Price had such an awesome 2nd season. Guess what? He was terrible.

Reimer wasn't great after the Gionta hit. I'll give you that. But I have no doubt he can get back to the level he was in 2011.

I grew up in Saint John, New Brunswick.

I currently work in Saint John, New Brunswick.

I've attended Saint John Sea Dogs playoff games.

St. John's is in Newfoundland.

Thanks!

I take the ferry from St. John to Digby. And, I have to drive from St. John's to Stephenville to catch a ferry to Sydney.

No hate. None at all. I am a Flyers fan and the only team I hate is Pitt due to the rivalry.

Toronto to me just seems like a terrible team. Not even close to a cup.

The East is very competitive and the NE is sick, but Tampa, Washington, Ottawa could all be there. Jets. Who knows.

But Toronto and the Islanders. They have talented players, but the teams overall suck.

Maybe that will change one day. Probably better for the league that it does.

- Daman

Montreal is by far the worst team in the league. That's not a debate.

It wouldn't.

Think fo it like this...Schenn, Kessel, 5th and Percy for nash and 2nd.

Rangers have apparently offered something like their 1st, Dubinsky, MDZ and a forward prospect (columbus wants kreider)for Nash alone.

So equate.....what sort of deal would it take Toronto to get the #2 alone? Hypothetically let's say the #5 and Colborne?

So now which trade for Nash is better? A 1st, MDZ, Dubinsky + forward prospect or Kessel and Schenn?

NYR are offering more which is why Toronto would have to replace Schenn with gardiner which IMO would be a mistake. Nash is not worth it.

Glad you aren't the GM.

NHL12 wouldn't even do Nash for Kessel straight up. What a terrible trade proposal
