I don't see the Wild being that good unless Granlund is playing next year.

If they sign Suter and Parise im on board... But i dont think they will, they still need to make some moves. They have got goaltending, they have got 4 solid prospects in Granlund Phillips Coyle and Brodin who will all log big minutes and put up good numbers in the NHL. Koivu is a hell of a player, and they have some good bottom 6 players too... Suter and Parise will make them good, but i dont think they will get both of them let alone one. I could definitely see them getting Parise but what they need is defense and Suter seems Detroit bound to me, or he stays in Nashville.

But Granlund is a machine, him Koivu Phillips Coyle is a good offense Parise would just give them that extra nudge to make them a real good offense, hes a good fit there, Suters a good fit anywhere. Then they just need to work on there defense through FA and trades and they will be a good team... I wouldnt say there next years Kings yet... When Chicago won the cup everyone said the Kings were the next up and coming young team like them. Now i would say its the S.t Louis Blues are ready now, and Edmonton and Florida will be ready soon... But Philly has to be the favorites next year.

Granlund will be playing for MN. Hopefully Parise too
Russo states that the Wild would also aggressively pursue Staal if he does not sign w/ the Pens.

the kings did not come out of nowhere around 100 points for 3 straight years and made the playoffs all 3 years

the wild have been closer to the leafs then kings the last 3 years

I think Minny should let the young kids play next year, all of them seem quite ready except maybe Brodin.

I think Ek is assuming the Wild sign a big name FA. IMO, if they do, that puts them into the playoffs, but not any SC contender. If they don't get that big FA, they straddle that 8-10th spot without major injuries...and below that if injuries happen like last season.

How much time is given to teams to make their pick in the 1st round? 15min?

I think the only players that make the roster are the lock (Granlund), Larsson, and Brodin. Coyle is iffy, he needs the AHL I think, and Phillips needs to solidify his skating and overall game before he makes the NHL jump. Watch out for Bulmer though. Kid has a great upside and if he can fill out that large frame could turn into 3rd line beast.

Hopefully less time than it will take for someone to answer this.

Can't remember if Ek does a blog like this every year but these kind of blogs from him are the worst thing to read if you're a fan of that team. He's put a hex on the team before the offseason even really starts, now that's cold.

this just makes me so sick !

the Leafs suck donkey balls

until the Toronto Smelly Laughs have a #1 centre and a 1# goalie, ain't happening !

Reimer has played two half-seasons. He's going to need a full year, like 50-60 games played until he can be legit.

maybe in 2013-2014 !

You mean just one donkey they pass around like a joint....or several? That would make for an interesting tidbit on 24/7 next season.....or at least a really entertaining Youtube video.

"Toronto Smelly Laughs" Wow.....you genius you.....how'd you come up with that one???
Funny how Sens fans think cuz their team had one surprising year they pulled out of their asses that they're so much better than everyone who didn't make the Playoffs. I'm willing to bet they get knocked right back down to where they belong next season.

Will believe it when I see it. It seems plausible that management would go after him, unfortunately, but I just don't see why he'd sign here.

Yeah, Cervanka, he played with Jagr over there. However, it's not like the kid is Mario here
