I get that Edler will be due a raise next year, but seriously, you think Ballard has the potential to outperform Edler? Whatever our dreams are, neither of these guys are going to get you Weber, not without a whole lot more added in.

It feels like you pulled a vantel and selectively read my post. I did mention how unlikely it would be to trade for weber. My point is simply that we need a stud number 1 dman not another player to slot in at 4/5 when we have a guy like Ballard already.....

No one is arguing whether Ballard can play ,the question is will he play. History with him and AV shows chances are not too good.

What a stupid article. Everybody knows that the only team even remotely interested in Luongo is Toronto and due to that fact, Burke is holding all the cards and Luongo's value has been completly diminished to nothing more then a salary dump in return.

Like you have selectively read mine in the past too . I have said a trade before of Edler Burrows for Weber a few times and you have jumped on me like a 2 dollar hooker. Can't work both ways. I even pointed out about the back issues and now you come back with the same proposals

I wouldn't take everything Dreger says straight to the bank by any means, but the Luongo saga is likely to drag on all summer.

Its a good article... there is some other potential suitors as well with the likes of NJ (next year) ... you never know with some teams... one team like detroit may even move Howard and then bring in Lu.. (unlikely) but wouldn't be the craziest scenario.

There is also the idea that if no good offer is out there... Gillis can wait... or can look at moving Schneider.. which I realize some people believe is the worst possible scenario.. but it is a possible scenario.
