Well FLA has said an offer has been made to Garrison's agent so we'll see. With all due respect to anyone here, if I started to believe all "insider talk" I've heard around here I would be perpetually surprised, frustrated, and disappointed (kind of like being a fan of certain teams around here which I won't name for the risk of being banned). |

I said this last week.
I've got insider info. Don't count on Garrison signing in Vancouver unless Gillis is prepared to pay him 4.5m over 5 years. |

Very possible . Schultz too.
We are not in a position of power with our D.
There really isn't anything on the Wolves and the ones that do have any promise are 2-3 years away.
Ship Ballard out take on Garrison at 4.2 .If he doesn't turn out ,are we further behind? |

Ballard for Garrison is a lateral move, we need a true RD...... |

Ballard is smaller and did not get 33 points last year. Also Garrison would probably not be in the pressbox |

this is why you say thanks but no thanks.
i said it yesterday and i'll say it again: it would be good if luongo isn't dealt quickly if for no other reason than it prevents MG from making dumb offers on this sh!tty group of UFA's.
rather keep the money and wait until next year.
and we have a freaking lot of long term deals. i don't want to be burdened by garrison if he can't sustain his play. 1 good year gets him $4.5? the players wouldn't be so greedy if the gm's weren't so retarded. |

Blah blah blah, we all know why Ballard didnt get 33 points last year and why Garrison did. So dont waste your time throwing out stats, they can be used to skew the argument anyway you want. Ballard plays big and can skate, and I'm pretty sure despite Garrisons size, he doesnt necessarily play to his size at all.
Its a lateral move plain and simple..... |

You must have underwear still from 1970 . U just don't like movement in any form at all do you.
You would rather pay someone 4.2 to sit in the press box. |

I don't like movement for the sake of movement especially when it does nothing to help the team..... |

I think MG has to poop or get off the pot.....make a big splash if there is one available and use Edler to do it. I like the kid and would be sad to see him go but he just hasn't been consistent enough and with a suspect back, maybe now is the time to package him for a tough, top pairing RHD.....Weber comes to mind (severe long shot), maybe a Hamonic - you get the idea. Even a Wideman to QB our PP would be more helpful than Garrison...
Give Ballard a shot as your number 2 LHD (number 4 guy). At his price, his value is too low to move, so might as well give him a chance to prove his worth.... |

Like any normal job, I'd like to see players' contracts be with the individual team rather than guaranteed by the league. This would lead to so much more trade flexibility if a player could work out a new contract with each new team he played for. |

So, I was with you on the whole why move a player for the sake of moving a player blah blah blah, but why you would prefer Ballard's hernia/concussion history with his $4.2 million price tag over Edler's suspect back and $3.25 millon price tag is beyond me. I get that Edler will be due a raise next year, but seriously, you think Ballard has the potential to outperform Edler? Whatever our dreams are, neither of these guys are going to get you Weber, not without a whole lot more added in. |

What a stupid article. Everybody knows that the only team even remotely interested in Luongo is Toronto and due to that fact, Burke is holding all the cards and Luongo's value has been completly diminished to nothing more then a salary dump in return. |
