Well said, Ian. He hasn't outgrown the OHL so this is kind of surprising and most young players don't get a lot of ice team in the major Euro leagues. I sure hope that he's playing in a top 6 role wherever he decides to sign. Hopefully he isn't being completely influenced by his agent, because this could be a Hodgson 2.0 all over again if MG is against this move. - Nucker101
Yeah seems like His agent is making a push for Canucks to play him. |

Lets hope he has Burke in a corner instead and is about to finish him off. |

Probably filling his usual 5 minute slot with a whole lot of deflection, blabber, and grumpy rambling. |

From what I saw in Chicago, his defence isn't even close to NHL ready.
In the offensve zone he is close to NHL ready. Defensivly, the games I saw, he has no clue.
No need to rush him and burn a year of his contract with him playing 5 minutes a night.
Hopefully he gets traded to Kitchener, London, or Windsor |

Thanks for the link.
He actually sounds like a quality depth d-man, I'm sure MG has him on his radar and might sign him to the same type of deal that Sulzer got last summer. Doesn't seem like a physical guy or someone with good offensive abilities just by looking at his numbers thought. Even if you don't believe in advanced stats, he had an even +/- on the Islanders last year which is solid. |

Agreed. I'd much rather give Schroeder a shot instead, everything I read about him said that he's really developed into a two way player and would have had a good amount of more assists if he was playing with better finishers. Sounds like he's ready for a shot to me. |

I'd be so in for Seattle getting a team. They would obviously be in our division, so there'd be plenty of opportunities for road trips and half-priced Canucks games. |

I believe he's part of the group in Seattle that is trying to get an NBA and/or NHL franchise in Seattle. I sure hope so. |

Interesting question posted on the AM1040 Tell Me I'm Wrong segment: after stating he'd like the experience of playing in Canada, would you sign Jagr to a 1 year deal for added scoring?
He's a UFA so no need to trade. If his salary is now higher than 3M, I say yes. |

Common City of Glendale give it up already. How many near misses, deal busts, lawsuits, and poor revenue does it take over a decade to realize it ain't working out? - AlexF

Jagr might help for a year, but if Gillis is serious about getting younger and bigger, I don't see it happening. Plus I'm sure the Leafs would somehow have the inside track on the UFA signing. |

I think he'd be great for a year. We don't really have anyone pushing for a top 6 spot on the wing (realistically Jensen is at least a year away) and Raymond is Raymond. Jagr is a playmaker and can slot into that 2nd line.
I've never seen the Leafs with the inside track on any UFA so I'm not convinced Jagr suddenly jumps onto a team with little chance of winning. If he wants to play in Canada (for a contender) Vancouver is his best bet for next season. |

I wouldn't mind him at all. 1 year deal, in the 3-4 mil range. Could fit on either of the top 2 lines and would be great on the PP. |

It might work. If Gillis can;t make anything work with the goaltending situation and is having trouble on July 1 he might throw a offer Jagrs way.
Toronto always has an inside track on every UFA. It is every hocky players childhood dream to wear the blue maple leaf. |
