While I am not surprised to hear Selanne come back again I question if it is just not better to stay away and retire. He can step out now on a high level, but if he comes back and shows his true age then it will tarnish him. I can see it resembling a Favre situation, as in a guy who just never wants to step back and say enough.

I have no reservations about Selanne and the level of play he would still bring. Its a non issue IMO. He isnt the type to hang on longer than he can. If he is coming back he is confident he can compete at a high level, its how guys like him are wired. |

I'd rather have a player who can take a hit. What good is Crosby sitting at home all the time? I've seen Bobby crushed and figured he'd be out for the long haul. Then here he comes right back onto the ice. As lazy as he can look, he's a stud. |
