If he was right-handed, a little bigger, and had more offense then I could probably endorse it. But he isn't, so I have my qualms with drafting him at one. - Jack-artist
6'1" / 200lbs.... his size isn't the issue
Everybody creams their pants over Klefbom despite his iffy offense. |

Seriously? Link it if you have the link. I'd love to read that. - Maxbone
It was just on TSN.

Ummm, wat? Gardiner and the 5th overall for Yakupov might be an underpayment. When did I say otherwise.
Yes, I know in Leafsland, Gardiner has won four Norris trophies, a Hart Trophy, one Vezina, and seven Stanley Cups. In the "real" world, he's a young defenseman who looked good in his first NHL season. - Maxbone
Let me guess, you also think Subban and the 3rd is fair value?

OMG, if the Habs would deal to Edmonton the 3rd overall for the Oilers 2nd and their 1st in 2013, I would kiss them on the lips. All of them.
I could hear Steve Tambellini now: "1st overall, we take Nail." and "3rd overall, we take Galchenyuk". Screw the defensemen idea. Defense is for teams that lack talent. - Maxbone
I'd rather Yakupov and Murray/Reinhart. I think Galchenyuk is going to be a disappointment. |

1st and gagner
5th, gardiner and a middling prospect
Take grigorenko with the 5. Sign schultz
Good day for the oil.
Just a quick reminder to leaf fans; shultz is not your asset to trade.
He cant be used in any deal to add value. Even the prospect of signing him cause of gardiner is not yours to give |

Take Grigorenko? Where the F have you been? His value has fallen tremendously. He may not even be taken in the top 10.
I can name 5 guys the Oilers would take over Grigorenko at 5. |

Yet he is the Oilers to sign at will?

Both fan bases have a majority following of mouth breathers. I cheer for one side and live amongst the other. The homerism for both teams is beyond pathetic.

Yes I did. So if the Habs hired McGuire as their GM then you guys would have Subban and Murray - HabsRUs
That deal would have made him incredibly popular in Montreal. |

I don't think that's what he meant. Nobody knows where he is going to sign, but I would say the Oil have a fairly good shot. Schultz's agent has said that he wants to be a guaranteed an NHL spot for next year and that will affect where he chooses to sign. As far as I can see, the Oiler's are one of the very, very few teams in the league that could actually do that. |

Not at all. I just think a lot of EDM fans here are guilty of the things that they constantly attack leaf fans for. |

He is probably one of Calgary's best defensive forwards, and he'll get better offensively. I'd hold onto him. - Jack-artist
I don't actually want to trade him.
I do hope he's practicing his faceoffs this summer though. |

U could name 20 guys that 'might' go before him. Doesnt make it any less of a guess.
This is all just conjecture. U have no more proof that he wont go high than any other rumour.
Do u just swallow every rumour u hear? Sounds like you're perfect for hockeybuzz.
The attitude nonsense is bs, imo. Everything ive seen is to the contrary.
Not only that, but ive heard stu like grigs. Again, just rumours.
Like i said, if we got 2 dmen and dealt gags.. Id be happy for grigs to take that spot |

How is Gardiner for #1 possible and Gagner for #8 completely ridiculous in the eyes of leaf fans? - TheDyingOilerFan
Reverse the question, why is Gagner for an 8th not ridiculous but Gardiner for a 1st is. Every scout has said this is one of the worst drafts, and that the players from 1-5 are not that far apart. |

No. When did i say that? Its all just guesswork.
Thats what i hope happens. And theyll try to sign him. We know this.
My point was; he cant be used as a tradeable asset to increase value |

Bob McKenzie seems to think he will fall out of the top 10. I'd say his opinion matters more than yours, mine, and nearly everybody else. So, yes, it is reasonable to think that he will not be taken in the top 10. |

It's more like players 2-10 are not far apart. Realistically, nobody has a clue as to how that order is going to go. |

If the Habs offered Subban and the 3rd overall for just the 1st overall pick, I'd take it every single day of the week. Incredible deal for the Oilers. |
