You won't be laughing like that when the Flames sign Jagr - The-O-G
Ahhh for 1 year it wouldn't be so bad. Might help Cervenka a little to settle in. |

I'm not too worried because there's no freaking way he agrees to sign here. (As another dude put it yesterday, Cervanka isn't Mario.) |

If Burke trades the #5 pick, plus Gardiner for the #1 pick I'll put my foot so far up his backside he'll be using my shoelaces for a tie next year. |

Never know though. He'd get a ton of ice, a familiar face, a great city. There's worse places. |

Apparently the teams that negotiated with him last year found it to be an enormous pain in the ass, and all of them were pretty good teams. Don't see how that would favour Calgary.
Mind you I'm pretty opposed to the move to start with. |

With the state the team is in right now for one year I think it would be ok. Fairly cheap and we'd get some good skill up front.
I wouldn't mind the likes of Backlund and especially Baertschi learning a thing or 2 from Jagr.
Jagr-Cervanka-Baertschi
Hahaha. Fun to watch at least!!! |

Cap hit of 6mil per year. That's a great deal for both sides. |

I have a feeling JBO is gone on Friday. If so we better get something half decent. I know his cap hit is ugly but it's only for 2 more years. |

I agree, I don't endorse just trading him for the sake of dumping his salary (even though that's probably what's going to happen.) Especially if they're not rebuilding in any substantial way. |

Exactly, trading him just to save $$$ is a horrible move. Leaves a huge gap in the back end as well.
That being said, like Whipper said, I think he is gone Friday.
Time will tell!!! |

I want Stastny. JBo'd be a great partner for EJ, and the cap hits are almost identical. |

I'm not gonna lie, I've thought of this exact scenario as well. Seems too good though.

Yer a dumb ass if you think Edmonton would trade the first pick for Gardiner without the 5th overall pick coming back.
Won't happen.. not in a million years. |
