Grabners one of my favorite players on the team. He needs to get that fire back that he had his rookie year. I think he will re group
- mighty13duck

I'd trade him if someone overpaid, but I don't think the story's written with him either. I wouldn't be surprised if he has another underwhelming season, but also wouldn't be surprised if he had another season like his rookie one.

According to Jack DP is healthy this Summer. Thank God. I was worried. From what I undstand he used injuries to the goalies as an excuse. I guess Jack never changing the lines or benching players and his lousy overall coaching had nothing to do with the lousy season.

I have to be honest, and please dont take offense, but I truly do not understand your posts. You keep arguing points, that ive never mentioned. The first paragraph i get so I will retort.

Grabner sucks.........he can skate, but he has hands like feet. Two teams passed on him before he came to the island. 35 goals in one year........excellent. You know who else scored 35 goals in one year? Marius Czerkawski, and Miro Satan. You can have all three.....

295 pts in 470 games with the Isles.... Ill take those numbers!

But what does any of that have to do with... "JT NEEDS to play with a VET"???

Because a veteran N American forward understands what it means to be a linemate. A veteran forward is not going to let JT, continuously take elbows to the dome, or cheap shots. A veteran forward can teach Tavares, something that he's not used to at the NHL level.........winning. Tavares isnt learning anything from PA. Matter of fact, id even say that PA's point total would be half of what it was if he wasnt playing on JTs line or PP.

You can have those numbers, and i'll see you at the draft table year after year with the 4th overall pick. Theres more to this game then point totals........just ask Yashin

Which is the only thing we agree on because I don't understand your posts either.

That would also be Miroslav Satan, Stanley Cup champion who the Pens took out of the trash heap.

Why does he HAVE to be on JT's wing to teach him anything?
Dont you think Doug Weight is a Vet presence to JT?
Wasnt Rolston, Eaton, Strait, Reasoner, Pandawful, Staios, all Vets added to the team?

And on that note, im off to bed...........you and i have way different opinions.

Ever wonder why no NHL team has picked up Yashin since the buyout??? He's just a misunderstood winner right ? Anyone who's played hockey knows that in order to win you must have heart. That same heart that will stand up for their linemate when someone runs them. I dont consider Pandolfo, or Reasoner, or Rolston those type of vets. Doug Weight was one at one point, but he's not out there with Tavares now.....so that doesnt fit my requirements.

Nope never wondered, he was asking for more then was being offered, he got the paycheck back home.
He's just a misunderstood winner right ?
Nope, but he is one talented player
