How bout jvr n schenn for the 5th overall and gardiener and then we would have the inside track on Schultz
- griouxmvp2012

I'd only move Schenn in a deal for Weber.

Thinking about it and watching some old highlights, damn I wish Nash's hit was like 6 or 6.5 at most. He is a really sound player and him and Giroux. yikes.

You think Jake > JVR...Pretty close in terms of potential. I guess one is better than the other depending on need. That is a tough one.

I personally like Jake better. Both have loads of talent though.

But I love Jake's creativity and size/speed combo.

Meltzer seemed to confirm my posts just yesterday.

Furthermore, know one believed me just last week when I said the Flyers were heavily after Weber and not Nash, and now that's all that is being discussed on here.

Keep laughing, bud.

I dunno man i would take one of the first off the table. That deal would have to look completely different.

That the Flyers were after Weber, and that Homer is trying to up the price for Nash b/c Boston and NYR are going hard after him.

Do you really need an inside source to know that? I could've told you that considering the circumstances following the team.
- MJL

yes but it would purely speculation rather than fact based

I think he's gone. But I also think Homer has no clue where he's sending him yet. No way Nashville is taking any sort of offer until they find out what happens with Suter. I think Winnipeg could be a very strong possibilty for JVR. Enstrom only has one year left and it sounds like he wants out. It's reported that Evander Kane wants out as well. There's potential for a JVR for Enstrom deal for sure, maybe even a package for the two of those guys.

Philadelphia GM Paul Holmgren believes that James van Riemsdyk (hip) would be able to play if the team had games to play next week. It was originally thought that he would need surgery on his right hip, but further evaluations by doctors indicated that he would be fine without a procedure and he is already progressing. "We're just going to move forward and deal with it," Holmgren said. "I don't have a crystal ball. Obviously, he's got work to do getting over issues, but I think if we had to play next week, he'd be able to play. He's got the summer to get his strength up and get up to speed." Van Riemsdyk skated in just 43 games in 2011-12 because of a broken foot, a concussion, a strained oblique and a strained rib, so he ended up with a lackluster 11 goals and 13 assists. He still has plenty of promise though and could live up to those expectations with a healthier campaign next year.
