Hasn't missed a game, but missed assignments, cough-ups, and bad passes aplenty. The good news about his potential acquisition is that Matt Carle would be LOVED.

He would instantly become my favorite player (especially if he signs at $4.5M). Thats if JayBo was on the team of course.

Really? Jeff Carter got us the 7th pick overall and Voracek. That sounds right on par to me.

This is based on one game or one period? It's public record that Bouwmeester isn't meeting his contract but the Flames as a whole haven't played as well as that team should. Kipper in net is known as one of the better goalies in the league and I have no idea why. He hasn't been anything crazy in my opinion since the Flames Cup run prior to the new NHL. You'll have to show me more then just a intermission report.

I often wonder how Michael Peca would analyze Michael Peca's play some nights.

(Just so we're all aware, I have no sound on my comp)

Peca says that JBo is one of those players that other players love to play against because he is casual on the ice. He can skate fast, but in Lavy's language, there is no jam to his game at all. He is easy to play against.

Nash is the face of their franchise. Theyll want more. Pretty sure they turned down quite a bit more from the Rags...

He also said that teams have loved his upside. But that he's had that upside for 7-8 years now, and he still hasn't reached it.

If the Flyers are actually interested in Nash (and his money), they must think he'll easily score 50+ goals a season playing with Giroux or something.

I'm with you. A player with that Cap hit has to bring more then what Bouwmeester can bring to the ice.

If they both were to stay healthy I think you could chalk him up for 40. Easily.

Huh? Maybe I misread the conversation, I thought the comment made was stating a JvR and our 20th pick for their Second. I'm sorry, I got mixed up.

No our second and JvR wouldn't get Nash. My bad.

I have no idea why we'd make that deal.

what is more important getting Nash or a d-men? I'd rather Homer target some more d.

he likely is what we've seen so far...grossly overpaid.

Then a guess the coaching staff in Calgary needs to be harder on him for that.

No need to take that cap hit on when they have other options available.

Same. But one school of thought is to add a big name forward to be able to trade away some forward depth for D. I'd much rather they try to sign Parise tho if thats what theyre going for...

He's scored 30+ in every year but one playing with a gang of second line centers. With Giroux, I'd expect 45-50

I like the trade proposed earlier today

Kane and Enstrom for JvR, Voracek, 20th pick. Not sure thats enough though.

Trading for Bouwmeester would be essentially like throwing a penny into the pond and making a wish. With the wish being that Bouwmeester, finally puts it all together and his productivity meets his potential. Which hasn't happened yet, so what are the odds. If it happens I'll be very disappointed.
